    Super informative stuff. Looking to open a store, well into the future. Can you discuss the current fees of POS and TCG player you pay? At the end of the year for your LLC, are you also paying back state taxes on sales. And I know it's a lot, but are you paying credit card transaction fees in store through the POS system? When I start pricing out single sales, it always looks like I will lose 15-20% just in taxes and fees when it's all done.

    • @rng-gamez
      @rng-gamez  Před 2 lety

      It’s cheaper buying stamps from eBay but it saves time to just print them and time is money. I have never had a problem with how I do it. In my experience when something is non machinable it goes through it anyway ( I worked at the PO for 5 years)

    Can you post where you get top loaders? The cheapest I've found is $0.142 per top loader and you said your entire shipping cost is $0.14 (I'm assuming that's after shipping). Also printing on envelopes if you're importing a list is basically impossible. How would you do that?

  • @EnochTheMuffin
    @EnochTheMuffin Před rokem

    Fwiw, I prefer receiving my cards in the cardboard sleeves over top loaders just because they’re easier to get out. Every time I try to reach into a top order I’m afraid I’m gonna bend up my card or damage, the foil etching or something. 🤷‍♂️

    • @rng-gamez

  • @sawmill035
    @sawmill035 Před rokem

    I'm a very practical person. If cards arrive to me safely, I really could not care less how they were mailed. You don't _have_ to use a team bag. Heck, you can even use a card saver instead of a top loader. In fact, I would argue that is actually better for PWEs. Less chance of it getting caught in the machines.
    But in any case, someone telling you how you _should_ be doing something just rubs me the wrong way. No one is going to flip out if you used painters tape instead of a label to attach a card to a sheet of paper.

    • @rng-gamez
      @rng-gamez  Před rokem

      @sawmill035 Před rokem

      @@rng-gamez That's fair. I'm sure you didn't mean for it to sound rude. If everyone did ship like you did, I would be happy because your methods are very sound. I've had people send me cards just in penny sleeves PWE or in a folder up 9 pocket page. That just isn't going to cut it.
      The only thing about your method that sort of made me chuckle was for bubble mailers you put the packing slip and penny sleeved/top loaded/team bagged card into another graded team bag with cardbord. Feels a little extra to me. Have you had experiences where card surfaces got dented or something when you didn't do that?

    I couldn't stop laughing at your comments on how to pack.
    If I had a dollar for every time I received cards sandwiched between a couple pieces of cardboard held together with 3 staples...or top loaders sealed with painters tape, or the entire top loader wrapped and sealed with a giant strip of packing tape...I can't help but think there is a CZcams video out there somewhere with a million views that teach all these crappy packing techniques...

    Yo!!!! Yugimon420 here lol. What’s the big deal with the cardboard equivalent to the top loader? I use them (shipping shields) maybe not talking about the same thing. I got to that part of the video and i was almost offended 😂. For one or two card orders sure, but when someone buys 10+ $0.20 cards 🤌🏽 can fit 6-7 cards in each comfortably and then fit three of them in a PWE and then slap on a non machinable and the added ounce stamps depending on weight and boom! Also congrats on the sorting machine! Offer sorting services later on ? 🧐

    • @rng-gamez
      @rng-gamez  Před 2 lety +1

      I don’t like shipping shields it makes the envelope too thick and can case jams in post office machines. Rather just stick to the old methods.

    • @rng-gamez
      @rng-gamez  Před 2 lety +1

      And putting non-machineable just adds another step that I don’t need. The less steps the better when doing high volume
