Well here I bring you one of my favorite songs of Fire Emblem Echoes Lord of a Dead Empire with lyrics, obviously I want to thank Valentia Accordion who took the time to translate not only this but several of the game.
#Fireemblemechoes - Hry
"A merciful leader may grant a second chance. Only a fool allows a third."
God i hate cringe quote comments like these, it’s a fucking video game not some historical event fucking weeb

You're welcome.
Where this quote come from ?
@@G4min0s I think Emporer Rudolph said it to Berkut before leaving to go fight Alm.
One of the crazier things is how well this song gets its message across without the player even knowing the lyrics.
"Take the divine Falchion that... sealed Mila's strength... Duma has become a thing of mindless evil. Use the blade... Destroy him. Please my son... You must..."
"Glory has become a thing of bygone days
That pride will be buried"
The tragic thing about Rigel is that as Duma grew more and more mad, the only two people to ever try resisting the inevitable were its emperor and his most loyal retainer. Eventually leading Rigel to its doom, but becoming the stepping stone for the newfound united continent of valm.... which I guess doesn't stay united :v
To be fair, Awakening happens like 2000-3000 years after SoV. It makes sense that the geopolitical landscape would have shifted dramatically by then.
@@JohnPaul-ec5ug Especially when you realize that Archanea probably wasn’t the only continent ravaged by Grima. Makes you wonder what happened to Valentia’s Falchion.
wasn't valentia unifed for atleast a thousand years? i think i remember virion mention something about how valm slowly fragmented in past centuries and also reunified by walhart.
@@davidelmz2
That's essentially it, after which we did kill Walhart the man who united Valm under the banner of conquest.
@@JohnPaul-ec5ug
25 centuries (AVG) and it’s still medieval times? I’d expect democracy to rise, fall, and be resurrected by the dolphin people by that time. The dragons must ALL hate humanity.
I already loved this song and Rudolf’s character itself... now I love them both even more. This is so beautiful.
THIS SONG ACTUALLY HAS LYRICS...?!!!
I can hear some of the words now....
Man... The tragedy of a Lord of a dead Empire...
Any words that are places or names can very clearly and distinctly be made out if you're listening for them. 'Doma', Duma's Japanese name, 'Albein', 'Rigel', and 'Valencia', which is the Japanese versions name for Valentia
"Very well. We shall greet them with a sea of blades!" -Emperor Rudolf
Alm: ... _Wildfire_ !
if rudolf and walhart were that buff in later ages, imagine alm around 20-30 years post-war wow
Gotta do Awakening style time jump to see that lol.
@@ytht21 I mean, look at Walhart. He’s Alm’s descendant so my man Alm’s probably huge.
@@tacoblm9570 wait, is it? I know Alm's story happened around the same years as Marth's but never connected the dots.
@@ytht21 Awakening takes place long, long after Gaiden and Mystery of the Emblem (Marth's second war).
Shadow Dragon > Gaiden / SoV (and interim era in Archanea, enjoying a short period of peace) > Mystery of the Emblem (Hardin turns on Marth, Medeus reawakens) >>>> Awakening (2000 years later)
If you take a look at the world map, Valm is pretty much Valentia. It is named as such after a Saint-King that once saved the continent in the past. Guess who :P
Unfortunately, sometime after Alm's and Celica's passing, their One Kingdom fell apart as we see in Awakening that the continent of Valm has divided into fractured nations, chief among them the duchy of Rosanne (where Virion and Cherche resided in), the now-fallen Chon'sin (Say'ri's and Yen'fay's homeland), and the Empire of Valm under Walhart's reign, who has begun to annex the whole continent. His Darwinian philosophy on how might makes right is suspiciously similar to Duma's teachings on Rigel.
The Kingdom of Ylisse, Plegia, and Regna Ferox are in the continent of Ylisse, which was formerly known as Archanea. Of course, the whole Exalted bloodline Chrom hail from being explicitly mentioned to be descended from Marth pretty much confirms how Awakening ties itself with Shadows of Valentia and Archanea duology.
I don't think Walhart was that old actually?
You know, while I do appreciate the Valentian Accordion for the English translation, it's still disheartening to not find any, y'know, Valentian lyrics out there. I'm sure a lot of people would have sung covers by now if they could sing the song as heard in-game. Ah, well, we may find out what this guy is saying someday...
well, translating the song should be complicated not only this one, but also the others of the Echoes
So I realized. I just think it would be nice to be able to sing the opera parts. It's a shame, yet a necessary sacrifice for all Echoes' lyrics, barring Heritors of Arcadia to be in such a language. It fits with the setting; it's just frustrating.
@@TwoHeadedMeerkat Pretty sure it's latin or german.
@@omegawii latin.
@@omegawii It's definitely not German.

Rudolf isn't attacking for some reason...
Alm: What's going on? Why won't you attack? What are you planning, Rudolf?!

Congratulations, you just made me love this song even more.
Waiting for someone to translate God Shattering Star lyric 😆

When you listen close enough to the names and realize, you can hear them. But they do use the original Japanese variation of the names.
Albein and Rigel are left the same.
"Doma" (Duma) has a stronger O, rather than the more subtle U we use.
"Valencia" (Valentia) has a c/s pronunciation, rather than the T.
Fun fact I first played this level in my car at a sonic I Remember crying. This game is so powerful that I cried at a sonic well done Emperor Rudolf
Yeah. It’s the most fundamentally solid writing of modern Fire Emblem.
Thank you so much been looking for the Lyrics ever since the game came out.
Whoever the one person who disliked this is,
Why did you dislike this.
They must not like Echoes
I was hoping it was me by mistake
They were part of the Duma Faithful.
it was berkut
@@michaeltsang1748 im apart of the duma faithful, Duma is one of the best units in heroes. and i like this song.
Just...wow, I love this song
After playing Three Houses, you can really see some strong parallels between Rudolph and Edelgard, both willing to turn themselfs to the flames in order to achieve the better good...
Man I love FE
The difference being that Rudolf is not treated as a hero. Meanwhile Edelgard just wins and everything is perfect, she never has to take responsibility for the people who died in the war and the mole people with nukes (who somehow didn't think of a way to dispose of her) are killed off-screen.
@@johnfsenpai That can literally be said about every 3H character lol.
@@nonnoumby claude just leaves and goes to Almyra to do claude things. He knows he won't make things better and he doesn't try to.
@PrDelahaye Nothing becomes perfect in any of the routes, the war ends and it just decides the new ruler of Fodlan.
@@seafoam6119 that's just in one of the endings though.
Still love this song. It's incredible.
This is one of the most over the top song I have heard in a video game and love it!
Never thought you challenge Alm’s Dad in a Tempest Fire Emblem Heroes Event.
And to think, in a better version of the world, they’d have been able to unite Valentia by arranging for Albein and Anthiese to marry. They have the magical soulmate marks, and Alm and Celica ended up falling in love anyway. Shame about her dad, the chancellor, the evil cult up north, and what happens in this series when dragons grow too old…
This song is used in Selica's nightmare vision
RIP Albein Alm Rudolph I

This song is perfection!
Thanks for liking heart!
Thx 4 the lirycs mylord
Not the type of family reunion I was expecting
I need a list of ALL the videogame tracks where this tenor performs. I'm positive he continued with:
- God-Shattering Star (Rain)
- *spoilers*, the Wicked
- Those Who Deny The Dawn
So Inspirational
Given that this is a fire emblem 3DS game, I thought the lyrics were all
"Time to die, daddy!
It's time to die!
Patricide is a tradition
of 3DS fire emblem games"
damn, you're right xD
Oh shoot you’re right
Sorta the original trope given Marths dad dies off screen, and ikes father...
Patricide is the tradition of most fire emblem games
@@haruhisuzumiya6650 Not sure. Most of the FE I have played have the father character dying at the hands of enemy after getting captured. Blazing Blade, Sacred Stones, Shadow Dragon, Awakening.
But I m not sure Fates one count?
Man I loved this game even more when I first got to this chapter... And if it's anything, I learned the hard way, make sure your units are well trained in this fight. Make sure you have plenty of archers, and clerics... And also for gray to be maxed out as well as Mathilda... those 2 were my aces... Oh and zeke too... And I was blown away to find out the king was Alm's dad... that really threw me off...
What language is this
Latin
I knew it, thank you and for honor
"do you wish for the capability to fear death" 😮
I love this. Do you by chance have a version without the random audio skips?
not for the moment
DAMN.

This song is Epic.
Does anyone know what language this is sung in? I thought Latin but some of the lyrics don't really sound like it
Me: I promise I won't get political
*two drinks later*: 1:43
I found the soundtrack for this game to be kind of middling and aggressively stuck in 1993. Then I heard this track for the first time.
Not even Twilight of the Gods comes close to being this amazing.
I forgot that Alm isn't his real name lol
Opera music intensifies

I wanna say this was an epic fight but...I killed Rudolph turn 2 with Delthea and it was over haha, it was so funny for her to end it then and there I couldn't resist.
How did you find the lyrics ?

The language being created in-universe, translated into Japanese in the book, before being translated to English.

So if you defeat Rudolf first the fight is over.
When his theme hit though I said Forget that I'm defeating everyone to Listen to this Masterpiece 🎼🗿
I thought it was just opera babble or some nonsense that sounds cool. Is it an actual language?
Latin- it is also used for Id(Purpose) in Awakening!
That said, being more-or-less a dead language, it is probably very corrupted latin, also like Id.
@@YourCrazyDolphin id(purpose) is just gibberish
Not sure I'm really buying this translation. It pretty clearly says "Rudolph" at 0:51 and that isn't in your lyrics so I gotta take this with a grain of salt
Alm's full name is Alm Albein Rudolf II.
@@valentia1579 And? That changes nothing. Pretty sure this translation is relatively made up.
The lyrics are a translation of the official meaning in Japanese that is taken from the collectors book Valentia Accordion which has only been published in Japanese.
@@valentia1579 Actually, Alm is his middle name. So it would be Albein Alm Rudolf II.
