- Hey guys it's me Tetri Volt! And in this video I will be teaching you guys how to make a shit ton of EXP and Gil in Final Fantasy XV!

you forgot the meal that boost your xp by 100% in Altissia. and dont forget to rest in Altissia, there you get x3 exp.

It used to be a guaranteed one shot but they patched it to be random
there are 2 guys in the hotel in altissia, the first grants 1.5 multiplier, and the other one grants x3, check again ;D
Ignis learns it at lvl 9 of cooking.
> rest in Hammerhead
> leave your car near the mark
Now just teleport to last resting point to get the quest
Then teleport to car to kill the mark
You'll save yourself the trouble of going back and forth.
Couple things to make this quicker/cheaper. Leave the car at Hammerhead you can then just use 'return to car' to zip back quickly. Also don't use elixirs there are 2 warp points either side of adamantoise that you can bounce between, it's just as fast and saves you a lot of money. if you don't have much luck with Alterna you can use the death spell from the ring (circle on ps4) and it will kill him outright once he's at about 55-60% hp which takes 10-12 mins or so with the ring. With the meal from Altissa you'll get about 140k xp. I'd refrain from selling the adamantoise meat if you still have super bosses to kill it makes incredibly powerful break damage limit magic, being able to do 90k+ damage in a single hit to Naglfar is awesome.
No. The correct method is to leave the car at adamantine location and instead use rest warp to hammerhead. That way you can skip the altissia meal and instead use the camp to get the same effect except with longer duration (assuming you invested into the ascension nodes, which you should). Agree about the rest tho.
You can kill an Adamantoise in about 5 minutes and he usually drops meat so it is ok if you sell it. also if he drops the meat there are 3 pieces. Also, there are other things you could use to make good magic

I laughed so hard the day I drove up to this boss and Prompto was like "Dude you can't be Serious" and then followed by a "O CRAP YOU ARE" lol that was by far the funniest part of driving up to the boss.....used my ring and 99 things to refill my Magic to take the mofo down....took a while but that sucker died
You don’t need ethers to restore MP, just point warp after using the ring. It saves money & is not that much longer to do. Also, i recommend eating lasagna Al forna beforehand to increase exp x100 as well as equipping moogle charms, also have someone equip key of prosperity to increase the number of meat or adamantite dropped 💯
It's only 100 a pice - and 99 cast 9.900 and you get 10.000 for the kill.
You still in gain if you spamm it
But even though it dos save a lot of time, you don't need to use it.

Ik this is years later, but you can also use magitek boosters to negate all mp costs for the ring instead of ethers.
Okay, so lots wrong with this.
1) leave your car for fast travel after, use chocobo to get there.
2) zero ethers required just warp between points near him, you won't get hit at all and will refresh your mana after every attempt.
1) You can fast travel anyways
2) Ethers are faster because you can animation cancel out of them
Ether is faster to do and ethers are almost free even early game.
1) don't even bother with chocobo travel. Leave your car at hunt location and return to hammerhead with rest point teleport. so you can teleport both way.
Tetri Volt It’s only a second faster and you can only have 99 ethers plus not everyone has a lot of money plus if your really unlucky you will use all of those ethers and not using ethers saves money

I remember skipping all this to get exp. I leveled up fighting the cactuars in the very first timed quest they put. Using exp magics was the trick to get preposterous amount of exp. I could get about 10 million exp and then go to Altissia for the x3 exp bonus. In the end 31 million exp is what I needed from level 99 to level 120. Keep on mind that if you see the 9999999 exp it doesn't mean it's the limit, it keeps piling up exp, it's just you don't see it going to 10 million.

No need to get ethers. Just ride the chocobo to the battle. Dont need the car either. Soon as it starts, just warp strike. You can go back and forth between 2 spots right in front of him. So you have infinite mana. Eating the 100% exp boost beforehand give u double exp. Sleeping at altisia gives you triple. So combined, thats 6x. Adamantoise gives 80k so that means you get 480k per battle
This is and was very helpful! I needed this for a long time so I could get stronger because I was very, very under leveled for everything but the campaign. I’m not even done with the game yet once you leave that area and are in Altissia you can do this. I just use umbra to go back. Also, if Ignis learns how to make that lasagna it gives you 100% xp boost on top of the 40% with the moogle charms. He can make that in camp. I believe it takes Jabbawock sirloin, fine cleigne wheat, and dark shell something or other. Anyhow, you get about 250k xp everytime the sleep at a fancy hotel to amplify according to you level of greed.
The rare item he drops is also used for limit break magic.
Why use Ether when you can teleport between the 2 little mountains near his right leg. He never touches you there, 1 shot while level 57.
Skandulf Using Ethers is just much faster than teleporting you can see my other comment for a full rundown of what I mean. And as for that I had not known that, so does that mean if you are below level 57 this will not work
Tetri Volt It worked for me. Noctis 57, 2 lvl 54 and ignis 55.
Since I don't have access to Ethers yet because I haven't passed the main story line yet, Teleport worked for me. 2 rocks close to each other near the right leg. Plus used the lasagna and magic with exp boost. Got 1m exp with 5 runs, went to Altissia hotel to use the 3x and boost all characters to 99 lol

don't take your car back, man. As with any hunt grind: sleep in hammerhead, take your car to the location of the hunt. After the hunt return warp to rest point, pick up the hunt, then return warp to car location.
late reply but here an easier way. Get 99 treasure in Altisia Justice Monster 5 game,(10 k one).Sell the prize for 500 k. Go to fish vendor and buy all Arapaima Roe you can get (leave 30 k for hotel).Make 999999999999 Exp casts and equip moogle charms. Eat 100% xp bonus food . Summon trash mobs and kill them super fast after using exp cast (so you get exp bonus for speed and dmg ).Go sleep in Altisia 30k hotel and watch ridiculous amounts of
Exp.
Use the moogle charms, and then go to chocobo farm, eat the triple stack burger for 50% more exp, and then do your method, I'm now lvl 109 and my method was two moogle charms and the rare metal, the triple stack burger, and the new ff14 collab update boss, garuda, just do the hard mission over and over again, easy peasy lemon squeezy, also helps if you have the founder kings sigil or something like that for a better armiger attack, zwill crossblades is better to have too, be sure to have all royal arms, highly recommended
Why didn't you use magic with x99 exp boost?
It doesn't get you all that much. In or around 25-30k after 4-5 casts.
I'm on FF XV PC, I can't get Altena to work, after hundreds of tries. Used all my 99 Ethers and warped here and there.
But DEATH seems to work, albeit slowly, around 10-15 minutes depending on your MP. Took much more time, coz you have to travel back and forth for completion of the hunt, loading yada yada, i would say around 300k exp per hour.

Don't need any elixirs. Just get close enough to point warp the rocks and that will automatically replenship MP. 👌

HOLY FUCK! I've fought this thing twice and it took me forever! Once at lvl 65 and that took 6 hours straight, and once at 85 and that took almost 3 hours. THIS IS SO MUCH EASIER! I'm going to go do this right now! THANK YOU

You can just warp back and forth to get your mp back quickly. Saves on the ethers
Ethers are quicker by a couple of seconds because you can cancel the animation for it.
Hmmm, when I do this, I get 300K exp per kill, and that's with just the 100% exp food from Altissia. Guess I could get more with that moogle equipped. Didn't think of that. The grind from 105-120 takes about 25 million exp give or take. I've already completed everything in this game several months ago, including dungeons, except for that stupid fishing quest. I can't enjoy the fishing in the game. With everything complete, I don't know why I continue to try and get to 120 =/
joescivic LMAO SAME I've done EVERYTHING except fishing. All so I can get to lvl 120. I'm only lvl 102. But with this method, 3 moogle charms(I have 3 open slots and 3 moogle charms), 100% xp from altissia and then sleep in altissia for 3x experience. Pffff I'll be lvl 120 in no time. Like on my 5th completion probably.

Unless you have limit breaks and are constantly doing a minimum of 10k damage every hit you can easily take 2 hours you are going to take an average of 40 minutes per fight without limit break while still doing 9999 damage.
If the boss actually has 1milliom hp and every hit you do is 9999 damage you need to hit him 1001 times for purely theoretical reasons lets say you can attack once every one second every time withought fail, thats 1001 seconds or 17 minutes not taking into account missing your hits or running out of mp or getting hit or getting downed.
The big ass turtle have over 5 million health, and even with limit break for 99.999 damage it will still take some time, for time i killed him it took an hour but i also used spells mostly lightning since it has the best damage field, if you stack intensity high enough your damage field will do over 10k per tick which is stronger than the lighting itself unless its muliti-cast or limit break.
THANKSSS I tried it and got the lucis ring to work at the 7th try. Even got the exp food from Altissia.
I just spam the level 45 Garuda boss fight with moogle charms equipped
You don't have to use so many ethers if you make tactical jumps as it refills your MPs. I can't remember if you have it anyway or if I unlocked a competence with PCs for it. But thank you for this tactics, it really works and saves me a lot of time. I thought of the Lucis ring but I didn't think of R1 + triangle, so thanx a million :)
Yeah no problem, and I just use the ethers because they're much faster :)

Best thing to do is boost your XP by 100% from the Altissia meal, and use expera cast magic then kill adamantoise for over 300K in one battle
It's just a lot faster to use ethers because if you teleport there chance of u getting hit and it will take a lot of time. At least that's what I think.
I attempted this with my player through. I say the Ether Method is nice. Yet if you can get your hands on a stockpile of Magitek Boosters. You can ignore the MP Cost of the attack for roughly 3 castings. Which are three fewer Ethers. Which is saving a lot. As you can farm for Magitek Boosters rather easily. Even though the boosters are rare drops. Killing the Magitek Troopers that drop them is rather easy and farming is easy if you know where a spawn location is and just sit there killing. Totally makes up for that 5% base drop rate. In turn, make a big profit if you pop a few of them in the attempt.
i know i'm late but you could use the warp points to get max mp and just spam it until it hits.

If you use items to boost your magic stat, it will increase the odds of the ring taking effect, at only lvl 47 i could get him within 10 attempts everytime.

It took me almost 2 hours to beat it with weapons
Real gamers kill it with weapons took me 20 mins with spicy skewers and Ignis with overclock 8x damage using the correct element and hoping it was fire that the adamantoise changed to. I was at level 50. Oh forgot to mention magitek exosuit.
William Harris that only applies to challenging bosses like Falz on PSO, this dude is just a BS damage sink, lol.
Not quite as bad as Legaia's "superboss" which is just a regular enemy with no specials and just 999 speed (giving it from 5 to 16 attacks per turn) though

Why spend on ethers? Near the head there are two triangle warp points where he barely reaches you. He will only hurt you when he does a global tremor which is not often. But you can use Lucii, and warp to recover MP and try Lucii again, and again, and again.

Use the 100 percent meal boost from alt and you get 144 thousand xp each kill and depending on how quick you kill it you can do it 3 or 4 times before boost runs out plus 50 thousand for the adamantite per kill then go to 3x hotel and rest means level up is very easy indeed only problem is it's really boring and repetitive but way quicker than most of the other ones

You don't need to complete the main story just go back to the dormitories in Gralea just after freely Noctis' powers.
EDIT: Pretty sure ring of Lucii (pronounced Lucee (Lucy, slurred Y)) got changed to the enemies' level being the percentage of Alterna failing except the enemies which are just immune entirely.
They say it in-game. It's pronounced Lucy-eye.
The adamantite also makes for a powerful spell
Guys if you want it easier, just make time quests. You don't even need to be done with the story and you become a lot of exp and points evertime you make one, I maked a time quest 3 times, had 10 points and you just need 3 points to buy 200.000 Gil :)

the 100 ones bring a lot, about 80k and above ( had only made a few, also you get 99 potions that sell forr 250 gil each. takes about 10-15 mins do do one. can already be done from act 43and above, recommend lvl 35+ and aoe abilities, get easier once you level upped after two and can just blast through it.

You just keep going back to hammerhead and accept the mission again. No need to re-load the game. After you complete the mission, just do what you did the last time. The hunt won't expire or anything.

Why don't you park your car next to the Adamantoise and then always just return to your car through the menu from the Hammerhead. Also rest at the trailer at hammerhead and you should be able to return to your last camp site after every battle. At least I think this should work. No reason why it wouldn't. Will try it out in a few days.
where do you get the moogle charms, also you could do with some magitek boosters for that ring
You can play Justice Monster 5 in Altissia, the 10k gil one, and farm the boxes(40 of them) for moogle charms. It doesn't take too long.
theres warp points near the adamantoise use them to restore mp dont use eithers

vallon prince it has always been that way, just warp from cliff to cliff while spamming your ring, you have to warp to the next cliff to restore mama so don't think you can just camp on one and expect to get unlimited mana

Hey there. What about using exp spells? And there's also a 3rd item slot to have 3 moogle charm and boost 30% your exp gain, even tho it costs 333 ph
you can use experience spells, but its not like it will work considerably faster and you'll have to gather rare coins or other items. Which kinda doesn't feel worth the trouble if you don't already have them. Its not hard to get the 1-2 million exp you will gather with the spell method with just grinding hunts. If you already have 3 google charms go for it. But I wouldn't stress out about not even having a single one tbh. 20-60% doesn't mean a lot in the long run. You don't need a lot of exp to get to lvl 99 and everything above is just overkill.
also dont waste ether get close to it and use point warp to get free mp renewal, also if you want more xp per match use exp spells

While your fighting him use your elements to boost your exp gain by 40 add debased coins for even more and eat the sandwich at chocobo yard then fight him, your head will explode with exp.

For me the best way to get EXP is hunting Cactuars on the temporary mission.

Whoa i didn't know the ring buff worked for Adamantoise also..... im super late on this part lol. The ring buff made magitek v2 farming much faster. Generally it takes 1-3 casts Angelus. Also one thing id like to add, lots of people tested and said the higher magic u have the better chances u have for Alterna to work...... but its not that much higher
Richard Garcia Yeah its finally meant to work like how the story said it should! and about the higher magic stat thing its actually false, when the ring was first buffed it was a guranteed one shot but then almost a week later they released a patch purely for making adamantoise farming a tiny bit less effortless. The magic stat actually has no effect on alterna at all from my experience but mp affects things like holy and death. Thanks for commenting I hope you enjoyed the video!
Well i forgot to mention its highly debate. Square hasnt said whether it does or doesn't. Trust me they're known for not revealing basic mechanics. People tried using it 600 times at on the same enemy as a level 1 with no magic boost and tried it at lv 120 with magic gear and boost and said there more with the 120 and magic. My main point it was being "IF" it does........ its does very little. Id say supersticious people should go for it lol.........
Richard Garcia Actually yeah you are right I looked into it yesterday but theres a catch, that the magic stat has no effect on boss enemies! I was surprised to find this out but Im fairly sure level still may have some effect because the ring didnt seem to work on the Naglfar for me. But thanks again for commenting!
Another thing is even the testers admitted it COULD be RNG.... most agree with that cuz like i said SE hasn't denied or confirmed some things. Things are changing constantly on this game. I remember at first everyone said the Key of Prosperity ddidn't work for V2 magitek suits....... then after people tested it hundreds of times they said it does...... but like with magic stat and the ring it was only slighly.

I farmed so much, beat the adamantoise with xp spells, that took hellishly long
I know this is 3 years old but it was recommended so i click.
Why not use rare coin and fuse it with fire spell and hit it with it and i think 1 spell gives you 20k exp (per cast).
You need 100 xp spell to kill it
I used Arena method, yeah it's not gain exp, but i used garuda for gain exp cause i already am lv99 waaay in the start of the game, chapter4-6? maybe i don't remember, it was the chapter when i entered altissia i hit lv99, pretty much i done alot of things in the game, you'll be surprised if i had killed Garuda extreme with chapter 13 finish gear, so at start of chapter 14.
How many ether did it tool for you to kill that mountain?

Make sure you eat the lasagna at maagho restaurant in altissia which is 8k GIL or if your ignis cooking is level 9 camp and eat lasagna al forno (if you have the ingredients) and equip 3 moogle charms (if you have 3) for that 160% exp boost in total and one shot the fuck outta the turtle as much as you want!!! xD

My personal take on this
Make sure your car is at Hammerhead (for fast travel)
Sleep at Criclawe Haven (for fast travel and for a meal for EXP boost or magic boost as your magic can increase the odds of one hitting it)
One more thing...
Dont try this hunt at night as it can cause Daemons to spawn on the way to the battle. Always camp or wait for day at Circlawe Haven

Took my 6 hours to beat at lvl 47, trust me, all I did was warp strike over and over 😭😂😂
I basically used life steal on it, and it has the cursed result.
doing the rare coin farm run then using experience cast is more worth

Did you actually watch the video? You one shot Adamantoise with the ring 💍 of lucili. You can spam it with ethir (refills magic points) because ring 💍 of lucili consumes MP. The monster hunt is repeatable, then go to a hotel I forget the name altishia the place only accessable by boat 🚢 because the hotel has 10X exp booster at $15,000 per stay. However you'll earn enough gil from killing Adamantoise to afford it. Rinse wash and repeat. Also you can only Carry 99 of each potion. So after you do a few runs you get nothing but exp and Gil
@@mr.native5181 The hotel in Altissia* gives you 3.0x XP. You also make 15k minimum and 75k max each kill. Cheers tho

Or leave the car at hammer head and ride the chocobo there takes same amount of time to run there on a chocobo as driving. Kill it port back to car. Repeat.
