My back up camera for my 18 Silverado stays on at all time when the truck is running but it shuts off once i shut down the truck and have it on accessory mode Thats when i can actually use my radio go thru settings etc… any suggestions on what could be wrong with it? Anyone?
thanks for the helpful video. i have a 2021 Chevy Colorado and the rear camera only works half the time. I either get good video, no video, or a mixed screen of blue and video (like the vertical hold on an old TV is off). It seems to do it more when the weather is bad, but it does it in nice weather too. had it into the dealer twice under warranty and both times they said they couldn't recreate the problem. so frustrating to deal with this all the time. I'll have to check my fuse block like yours and see if there's any evidence of corrosion. I checked the wiring at the camera and underneath the tailgate but they look fine. It takes a month to even get my car into the dealer's service department, then they don't bother troubleshooting it at all. very disappointed in GM service where i live!
Hi, I don't think your issue is at the fuse box. Try to find a local tech so he check the wiring and see if there is any part exposed. That video signal wire that runs from the camera to the radio should be shielded in order to keep the outside electronics noise away from the video signal. Its either that or maybe your camera plug is getting some rain water mixed with dirt that would make a bad video signal. Good luck 👍

Would this be the same problem and fix for a 2016 chevy equinox? The screen is black but can still see the guidelines and at rare moments we actually get a picture.
I just install a backup camera, but no image comes on. It just shows a blue screen anda the same message “ service rear vision system” Do you know what could it be?
My camera has had service rear vision for 2yrs after installing LED bulbs and after switching back to halogens it still says the same. I’ll have to give this a try and see if it helps.
Can you help me ? I own a 2016 tahoe im facing a message that keeps popping up since 2018 “battery saver active” i changed the negative battery cable , changed the alternator and changed the battery still facing the same problem

With my Sierra,there is no rear view picture and the signals are not sounding.I am wondering if it is a fuse issue?

Mechanic I had look at it said it just lost communication with the camera. So I’m gonna try to figure it out for myself before I send it to the dealer

I'm not getting ground on 35 on the relay....if I jump ground to it it will click and camera will flash on then off...any recommendations?

Had this same problem today, just ordered a new fuse box..I opened it up and was almost the same as yours
