  • www.umc.org/videos. Celebrate #UMC50 with a video flashback to General Conference in Dallas, Texas, where The United Methodist Church was formed. On April 23, 1968, the 10.3 million-member Methodist Church and the 750,000-member Evangelical United Brethren Church merged. In uniting, the church also ended the segregation of African-American congregations into a separate Central Jurisdiction. More at umc.org/umc50.

My grandpa Rev. Dr. Earl K. Wood was a fundraiser for the church and shot movies in the 1960's of different missionary trips to show the Good Works to the folks back home. I was wondering if any copies existed, especially Borneo.

I was there along with Methodist youth choirs from all over the Dallas area. I know we sang "Let There Be Peace on Earth" and one other song that I can't recall. Would it be possible for you post that, as well?

This is the only footage we know is still available. The Archives agency is checking to see if they can find a program that mentions the second song however. Thanks for your interest.
