www.pennsmithskincare.com/post/change-your-skin-by-doing-these-two-things-my-am-pm-routine This blog post DETAILS my AM/PM routine. Go check it out! So much more info/detail!!
You will see discount codes next to almost all products-I discover a product I love and I work hard to get a discount code from the brand. This is NOT SPONSORED. Most links are affiliate.
Here's what I am using about 2 nights a week:
Dermelect Sleep Serum howl.me/cj6EjfzShHg save 20% with code Penn20 then following it up with my
Drmtlgy Soothe & Recovery Cream www.drmtlgy.com/collections/anti-aging/products/soothe-recover-cream code Penn saves 20%
What I have been using in my AM routine:
First thing in the AM I try to get in an LED session! (About 5x a week)
There are so many options for LED- I have an entire blog on LED that details all of this and the science of LED www.pennsmithskincare.com/post/why-everybody-should-be-using-red-nir-led-on-their-skin-with-before-afters
I have been following this up immediately using my Ziip Halo with the Golden Gel and just rinsing off my face when I am done (not cleansing, just rinsing)
ZIIP HALO Microcurrent Device go.shopmy.us/p-1593091 code PENNZIIP for a discount
The next thing I am doing is my acidify step-
I am choosing either my Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% amzn.to/44zeagb
    or Medik 8 Press & Glow go.shopmy.us/p-1555905
Please note...I don't wait much between this step and the next step but IF I were to use a stronger acid (let's say P50 or some stronger glycolic) I WOULD wait a little bit before putting on a peptide based moisturizer. I try to avoid hydrolysis (breaking the peptide up in to it's amino acids) but I am not stressing on this and I don't think you should either, especially with relatively gentle acids like the Ordinary and/or the Medik8.
So next is my bathroom mixology step :)
    I am taking my
    Sukoyaka Suhada Urea Essence amzn.to/46EQoRW
and my OneSkin Face www.oneskin.co/discount/PENN15 (code Penn15 saves 15%) and I am mixing them up in the palm of my hand and I am applying the concoction all over my face, neck and décolleté. I am really loving these two combined together!!!
    Naturium Azelaic Acid
(Helping reduce the redness in my skin) go.shopmy.us/p-1673894
code Penny15 saves 15% at Naturium
I follow up with a Vitamin C derivative
Drmtlgy Needless Serum www.drmtlgy.com/products/needle-less-serum?ref=3831425.7cc41f code Penn saves 20%
My Alloy M4 Cream (perimenopausal/menopausal/post menopausal women this is for us!!)
    www.pjtra.com/t/8-12831-299858-277677
You can use code penn20 for $20 off your first purchase of ANY product from their site (face cream, hormone health, supplements etc).
I encourage you to sign up for their INFO, and at least familiarize yourself with everything they offer educationally. It is an excellent resource regardless of whether or not you try their facial product…The other information on this site is INVALUABLE.
My eye creams are (these are THE two best eye creams I have found and I have tested A LOT...):

Dermelect Revitalite howl.me/cj7nnv8vx4J (Penn20 saves 20% site wide at Dermelect)
I always end my morning routine by using a SUNSCREEN!!! Today it was my Drmtlgy Universal Tinted Moisturizer www.drmtlgy.com/products/universal-tinted-moisturizer-spf-46?ref=3831425.7cc41f code Penn saves 20%
For my body I have been using my Drtmlgy Exfoliating Body Lotion www.drmtlgy.com/products/exfoliating-body-lotion code Penn saves 20%

Do you wash off night time skin care at all before using the LED? Mine says to use with clean, dry skin, but so many of my products say that, and I hate letting my skin dry out.

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  Před 10 měsíci +1

It depends on the nighttime skincare- if I used something like an ointment (some heavy occlusive) I would wash before. But usually the skin is perfectly good with the leftover skincare from the night before 💙

I've gotten into so many different things because of you, like microneedling, fulvic acid, copper peptides, growth factors, the Queen 7-in-1, etc. My skin really has never looked better and it wouldn't be the same without you. In her video on ingredients that work better together, dr alexis stephens talks about moisturizers with cholesterol, fatty acids and ceramides and the phytosphingosine. She recommends a few but the more affordable one would be the cerave skin renewal night cream and even the skinfix triple lipid (the original and not the gel). There's also a prescription cream as well.

LOVE the tip of mixing a lightweight hydrating toner with thicker stronger serums and've been doing it for years and years, but with the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner... the luxurious slippy-ness of it makes all my serums spread like a dream so I can use less and they last longer not to mention sink in deeper for better faster results... I make my husband do the same with their Mist Toner, the spray top of which I switched with the shake top of a used up Essence Toner so he can shake a few drops in with each step of his routine... game changer!

I think that I ask this every time, but do you still use your droplette? I just did my cosmetic microneeding with my Reviv growth factors. I found you around two years ago. We are both the same age. The big difference between us is that I have very, very oily skin still. It does help with the wrinkles. I use the dermmelect self esteem serum since I received it in my Dermstore box one month. I so wish that I could afford the oneskin, but it is not in my budget. I finally took the plunge and ordered DRMTLGY. Oh, my goodness. I love everything I have purchased so far. Especially, the needless serum. I've read in multiple places that peptides should not be used with acids because the acids break the bonds in the peptides making them less effective. I've been keeping my acids in the am, then peptides in the PM with tret.

I really only use the collagen capsules (those have always been my favorites) and when I do remember to use it I am SO happy with my skin. I probably remember 2 times a week (because once I have done anything else it's too late....I always want to do the droplette first...So i will do (for example) my oneskin/essence step and THEN remember the Droplette and it's too late!!). That said, it is one of the BEST pick me ups ever- the collagen capsule I mean :)

@@PENNSMITHSKINCARE thank you for this reply!! I will keep it in mind for the collagen capsules. And I guess since the Ziip “pushes” skincare in, that is a one-two punch that may make the Droplette less necessary. But still, I get that they provide different services for the skin/facial muscles. The Droplette can deliver things that the Ziip can’t. I am so intrigued by all of this and how we actually have the power to make so much difference with our skin and bodies.💖

Penny, in a previous video, you told us that when you use DERMELECT Self Esteem Sleep Serum, you wait a couple of hours before putting any other products. Do you also do that when using “the duo” system? I did tonight😍

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  Před rokem +2

@bibicheknauf4163 I don’t really wait for the soothe and recovery. I was waiting before putting on the peptide night cream bc I wanted to avoid hydrolysis with the peptides (breaking the peptides up in to their amino acids….honestly not that big of a deal anyway). Now with the soothe and recovery it’s more about the lipids etc so I can layer them right up 💙
If you choose to wait a little bit that’s totally ok too, whatever works best for you! 😊
I do think I thought (and might still a little) that waiting gives the acids more time to do some work- so even with the soothe and recovery I’d consider waiting.
But all in all I don’t stress (and I don’t think you should) on timing- it doesn’t seem to effect the outcome 💙

I don't know why, but I just didn't like my skin after using ZIIP. It seemed to make me appear to have less facial volume. I think the best solutions are multitaskers- a simple AM routine with 2-3 products is doable.
That would be an essence or serum, a multitasking product (this would be an antioxidant/moisturizer etc)then sunscreen.
Often those type products cost more but they “replace” several other things.
A couple examples (only one would be in the routine)
      UBeauty resurfacing compound
      Dear Lucy marine antioxidant serum
Then I’d choose a sunscreen that also serves as a primer or a tint (so it’s the spf+makeup/complexion)
      Like:
      Cooorscience flex or
      Alastin hydratint
3 products= covers lots of bases.

Not sure what I’m going to do with my myolift but I just gave up on it because it took me 15-20 minutes a night with a bulky device. I just got way too lazy 😬 With the Ziip, on nights when feel too tired I tell myself I’ll just do the quick 4 min treatment and be done with it, and then I end up doing more because it’s just so easy.

I have skin similar to yours (and sensitive to Vit C) so was just curious if the vitamin C in the topical acid would be too much for me since I already use a different vit c serum. Not sure if I should try the Emulsion first since it doesn't have any. Thank you so much for all you do!!! xoxo

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  Před rokem +1

So the emulsion is a tiny bit less hydrating (on my skin) but I actually think the azelaic acid in that version is more effective.
The serum is a derivative so it’s more gentle but I think it may also be a bit weaker. Some may say that the derivative is better because it’s even less irritating but I think it’s just a matter of preference.
I can (and do) use both- so if you want to elimate that ingredient I’d go for the emulsion! 💙
