Great to see a lot of South east London hauliers,HTS,Billy Humphrey’s out of Charlton and Deptford .WJSims one of the first with the Scania 76 Hays with their unusual Volvo G88 day cab, happy days👍
Great pictures, remember seeing Woods New Scania 76 at their yard, think it was one of three, the Ben Jogger Scania 142 at Gilbeys Harlow when it was on the Piat D'or Macon wine run, also same comment for the Elstrans Volvos pulling the tanker trailers.
Thanks for this jogged do many memories of a miss spent childhood in the passenger seat with the old man. From Gas cylindrrs on a Bedford TK Chilled to Spain in a Transcon, cattle in a F10 and so much more in between. Happy days, fond memories and Thanks again!!
Very good collections. Chapeau and thank you very much 👍
Great video once again, looking back at these early volvo f88, the scania 110, 140, and the 2800 dafs, put one of these next to an atkinson or guy , foden of the same year , hardly surprised our truck market went downhill, remember dad getting a new daf back in 1975, from a 1972 foden to the daf was like driving a hotel on wheels , how times change, keep trucking guys, yesterday was a memory ,
Very good
Brilliant! Sub contracted to T Payne quite a bit remember most of the rest ... great !
Nice video. Anyone know the origin of the styling “fad” on a lot of these trucks pictured that seem to me to hark back/ pay homage to the old ERF KV??
Anyone remember Pitt and Scott? Great bunch of blokes, many happy Newhaven- Dieppe crossings with them, Jimmy Bolton in particular, he was an extra on The Sweeney as I remember, I was with Marshall International Nottingham back in the day.
WBS Vehicle Workshops King George V Docks East London, some good memories working there, and also for HTS at there Charlton distribution depot and vehicle workshops.
Thank you very much
