@Soda King keep whining that you aren't getting a free handout you big baby, the usa has to compete with both russia and china militarily who are basically allies with eachother, ontop of essentially being the head honcho of nato which means they are defending western europe and canada from china and russia too (western european and canadian militaries are microscopic in size in comparison and wouldnt last 2 seconds fighting china or russia on their own if it came to it) of course they need a massive military budget

Nah, he couldnt afford 1. Huge difference between networth and how much money someone actually has

The M16 is a select fire assault rifle, effective range of 500m, about 750-900 rounds per minute. That's considering the A1 variant, because the A2 only has the option of 3 round burst and semi.
In other words, it does not have a range of over 2 miles.
Here's the math:
1 Mile is equal to 1609.34 meters.
3600 Meters would equate to roughly 2.236936 miles.
If a barret can barely make that shot, the m16 certainly can't

And 3000$ for military,
We paid 55 mill $ for each apache, while other countries paid less than 40mill $,
It is because the politics and the manufacturer companies in the country.
How much does it cost? A lot for just a couple hundred bullets, đ
wait, the M-16 has a fire rate of about 600 RPM
Yes, and it is an automatic-rifle, not a "semi-auto", which is where I guess they got the firing rate of 40-100 rounds/minute. That 3,600-meter 'range' must be how far a bullet will fly, not the effective-range. When a video makes such mistakes, I distrust the rest of the information. :(
The militaryâs money after they fire a extremely expensive missile for a minute : Gone. Reduced to atoms.

I would love to see a part 2 to this video, and see how weapon costs for the military have changed throughout the ages.
Maybe you can even compare other countries as well (like Russia) and see how much their weapons cost
Russia actually makes many things for cheaper, but that's also because they keep revisiting older soviet weapons rather than spend billions on new programs.

1:07 The m 16 is a fully automatic and fires 700 to 1000 a min

The m16 used to do full auto too. Also both the m16 and m4 have 3 round burst setting. Itâs not just semi
Who told you the military calls their rifles "bang bangs". They lied to you đ
I think it's funny how the m134 minigun was excluded, its firing rate is literally 2-6000 rounds per minute lol and that's regular 5.56 if you were using fun stuff like api (armor piercing incendiary) or tracers its probably 20k a minute to shoot
Jesus, if 5.56 rounds cost that much, I want to know actually how much it costed in a year, those rounds in particular, because that price is insane

Serious question. If I had ideas for military weapons, what field of work should I go into. Engineer or join the Army and start pitching ideas.
I find it crazy how the military has been using the m2 for nearly 100 years just thatâs crazy people still used horses back then think about that

@8:24 say's "The launcher is mounted on a 2 axle trailer". *Show's a 3 axle trailer.đ
Ur channel is so fun
It's important to point out that a lot of these costs are over inflated because of weapons and other military manufacturers knowing we're buying it anyways so they jack up the price of what it's actually worth
Like medical procedures for example, a hip replacement isn't actually worth 6 figures but many American hospitals jack up the price because they know the insurance will pay for it anyways (sometimes doctors aren't in control of this, it's the directors of the hospitals)
Infographics: I'll gv u a hint- it's a lot
Other peoples mind: blown

You're using the old terminology for THAAD. It's currently Terminal High Altitude Area Defense. Love your videos btw.

Since when were the m16 or the m4 "semi-auto" rifles?
Correction: the m16/m4 are select fire machine guns capable of semi-automatic fire and either 3-round-burst or fully automatic fire with rates of fire from 600 to 800 rounds per minute (depending on the configuration and armory tuning.)

I can't believe you missed the FIM-92 Stinger. It has a lock on capability similar to the javelin đ€Ș
1:47 the military rarely use automatic on the m4 because A(it is a waste of ammunition) B(the fire selector is two slots from the safety) and C(it damages internal parts) atleast more than usual
" if a missiles some how make it through the first 2 stages " pretty sure the US's "ABM Defense system" is never tested against missiles with countermeasures and even then it has a 50 % chance of hitting the target .
Edit : an other mistake THAAD stand for terminal high altitude area defense.
How do you know all these information? Its indeed interesting
