The word legend is overused but it is appropriate to describe Billy Connolly as one of comedy.

Agreed. I think a legend could be determined as someone people will still talk about and admire in a hundred years and I'm certain that will be the case with Billy.

As a 31yo Scottish man with a Glaswegian father (Arsehole) a grew up listing Billy’s songs then as a got a little older his standup Laughs for decades

When Robin Williams passed, I remember how people spontaneously circulated pictures of themselves standing on their desk in his honour. Maybe when our dear Billy passes, we should all take selfies with a tea cosy on our heads. And wear them proudly, as our windswept and interesting guru would. Love you, Billy, please stay with us a bit longer! xoxo

It’s just so wonderful seeing Billy so engaged and mentally in the conversation! The last bunch of interviews he did a year or so ago for his drawings he just seemed drained and distant. I’m assuming it was a meds issue…but it’s so nice to see Billy is so still there!
Great points.... also he seemed very happy and willing too. I think that Billy enjoys chatting with people who want to chat about stuff, not just his condition. And it helps that Russell is a very good listener who thinks of Billy as the best, which he is.
I think he may be getting CBD oil, since it is legit in the UK now. It is meant to be really great medication for Parkinsons - and a whole host of other conditions. Maybe he's getting the real stuff in edible form, which is even better I am assured😉

Billy is full of that nostalgic joy that you discover in childhood, adore throughout adulthood ,and then pass on your contagious laughter to your own children, and so on. Seen him numerous times in Toronto and knowing that I won't see him again this made me smile. Nice to see that he's doing well and continuously not giving a fu#k

He is such a beautiful soul. He saved my life a couple of years ago, I owe him so much. It’s a beautiful thing when someone you have never met can pull u out of hell and make u look at the reasons u should stay, enjoy each and every moment of everyday and smile again. I am eternally grateful

I first heard Billy on BFBS where someone had requesting the Welly Boot Song. That was in 1981. That did it for me and I have been a fan ever since.

I still hold dear to the fact Billy Connolly was the first man I saw naked. I watched his BBC (I think) World Tour series from a very, very young age and seeing Billy gleefully skip round standing stones in Scotland and again in Australia meant I was to love him forever 😁
Absolutely brilliant to see billy again his voice brings back so many memories for me, tales and jokes from my relatives all from Glasgow, unfortunately most have passed 😢 💙

I had the pleasure to sit in Billy's seat at Celtic Park, its the closest I'll ever be to the legend and it makes me smile to this day.
I saw Billy Connolly years ago in Bristol. Still among the funniest shows I've ever seen.He finished by playing the dulcimer to soothe away the swear words, he was absolutely brilliant.
What is the world going to be like when he goes I shudder to think about it as I have listened and followed him nearly all my life and right from his shipyard days and some of the guys he speaks about we new them and you just feel that you’re part of Billy’s gang and when I watch all the Old stuff I am in tears of laughter and nearly wetting myself and he’s a one off yes there’s a lot of good comedians out there but none like him . God Bless Billy 🙏

I am not surprised Billy is Russell's hero. He kickstarted the modern comedy style, true observational comedy and funny stories rather than set jokes.
I think Frankie Boyle, Kevin Bridges and other scottish comedians like them owe their carreers to this man, and without him we would be missing so much of the comedy aimed at people who think.
Bought Billy's book today, it's a belter , as expected fae the big yin. We love ye billy, so fiercely up here
