Your home is beautiful! So glad you reviewed the TruWoman bars - I was just looking at them on Amazon yesterday, but the 12g protein is a little low for me (I got the NoCow variety pack instead - not the greatest tasting but the macros are GREAT!)

Love and miss these videos. Welcome to California. I live in Temecula near San Diego. I have been vegan on and off but can’t eat soy so always find myself going back to meat. However, I’ve had a couple health issues lately and I’ve decided I’m going vegan 100% now. I also love fitness and looked for you at the Olympia expo last weekend. Didn’t see you cause i went Friday and i don’t think you were there that day. Anyways, my goals are to lose weight, balance my hormones (I’m 49) and most of all prevent disease. I like your videos because they offer a fitness (muscle building) approach to vegan nutrition. Thank you for the awesome video and congrats on your new home in Cali!

I was probably consuming 60-80g of protein when I did surfing. Now that I train to build muscle and compete I try to hit 130g-140g so now I eat more protein as a vegan lol

I cooked the crumbles in marinara sauce from the store and threw it on top of the hearts of palm "pasta". Is a super easy lazy meal :)

It’s your off season? I thought you were looking particularly lovely. How much weight do you lose for competition? I’m assuming you lose or do you increase workout/muscle mass?
Thank you so much...I'm currently up 15 pounds from my last stage weight. When I'm on prep I'm pretty tiny and lean, when I cut I try to lose bf to expose the muscle underneath.

I use a silicone ring...I have a real one I just don't like wearing it when I workout. I can deff talk about it on a video.
Why bank/restrict yourself in the off-season? That seems so unhealthy mentally... planning ahead to hit numbers...

I'm a professional athlete, and this is part of my sport, competitive bodybuilding is no joke.
During this time, there are some days where I don't track at all...but for 85% of the time, I do. The improvement season is more important to me than the actual prep. This is where I build and make changes to my physique. I have to track! at this point is just all data for me. How am I I suppose to adjust and continue to improve without data? I need to track to be able to increase calories slowly over time so I can continue to build.
You don't tell a basketball player to stop practicing in the offseason?
Same goes for competitive bodybuilding...is part of the sport. I hope that makes sense. If I was not planning on competing next year, I would probably be more flexible, but I have a huge goal... I want to step on that Olympia stage one day. :)
