Madan it a great initiative....but it is not something 100 percent digital like Patym or online Banking where Virtually things Moves .........ecommerce is not about booking online it is about .....delivery of Product on the location as per Customer Satisfaction ......which means heavy need of logistic needed like we see amazon & Flipkart did ...still logistic is very big concern in India ..Jio even not able to launch it Jio EComm platform completely reason Logistic & delivery ......... when Infosys or Modi Govt said this ... it become Joke of the century .....did you ever used IRCTC for ticket booking how your experience ??? good Bad ugly ...IRCTC is fully online but still Sluggish Govt unable to make it efficient ...untill when so many StartUp Penetrate in It .....What you thought on opening an account on SBI ..still so pathetic stand in line fill document ...sluggish management .....only make plain is not enough ...execution is the key ........Govt Job is Govt Job.... Chaprashi to CEO....7th pay commission sarkari ..even today Youth is Crazy for Bank PO exam.........Govt unable to handle the Govt Banks properly Modi Govt ney hath Johd liye hai... @@rayaanaaryan2684 i think logistics would not be the problem as lots of company like delhivery is doing awesome work. They have reached the tier2 and tier 3 cities and even delivering in small villages in just 2 or 3 year of time. delhivery have reached 17000 pincode and i think soon they will able to cover maximum pincodes.

In my opinion, the biggest issue is the game of pricing. As the bigger sellers can buy the things in bulk, their cost price is less in comparison to the small sellers. This is going to be the biggest hurdle for the sellers.
That’s why you need branding.
Local retailers are also able to compete on price point. Plus the personal relationship developed to a local retailer will help to get repeat orders.
Amazon can't deliver the product like retailer can deliver it in very less span of time.

A correction- Platform*** will not manage inventory or will take business online, its just a open network to connect buyer side and seller side applications. Sller side aggregators/ applications will need to onboard these small sellers and provide them solution to manege their tech side and inventory side/operaations

sir one thing i could not understand that if ondc comes then how small shop owners will get profit? Suppose one company who makes biscuits, so it can directly registered it self to ondc. No recruitments of middleman. And second thing, If shop owners are willing to increase his sale then he has to decrease his profit margin to attract the customers.. and if it is a open platform then every shop owners will decrease its profit margins. Ultimately buyer will get benifit not the shop owners.

Vo momos bale se ex platform toh charge phir bhi kar sakta hai bcuz ondc is like Bhim platform where nobody goes, as we all are on Paytm/phonepe...same case ondc mei... But very good initiative to self reliant in case of emergency.
Due to this new startup can easily get lakhs of seller directly to list in their apps...just like upi makes ease for Paytm/phonepe to do transaction between thousands of banks in india
