- I go winter car camping off-grid in the woods with only hand warmer for heat. This is the second time I've went car camping with this vehicle and the first time winter camping with it. There wasn't any snow yet, but it got pretty cold.

I am immobilized for more than 2 weeks already with various issues, cannot go outside, and rewatching your older clips and now enjoying this new one is so comforting for me. Good video. I like your chill gadget freak attitude. Ive done similar kinds of vehicle camping. I was in a fiberglass shell in Boulder Co around Christmas 2012 so I know all about trying to stay warm in a vehicle.
We used hand warmers camping before,,those are great memories i can never get back,,enjoy life,,sometimes it gets cut too short

A couple of good old fashioned Hot Water Bottles would keep you warm & save money on the hand warmers. You can also use Nalgene bottles in a sock.
Really enjoyed seeing how you set up. I have a GMC Yukon XL which is very similar to your Durango and I play around with the seats to create a flat sleeping surface for two. I intend to get rid of all 4 back seats and build something. Great camp, love the lights and shelter is a fantastic idea when you just have a mini van. Little tip for your Gazelle. Loop a rope around each rib near the center top inside and get a weight or rocks to hold the center down. Thank me later. Also use rachet tie downs and doggie tie out stakes instead of regular. Almost lost mine twice in wind storms.

Get yourself a remote start. I have had a plug n play remote start from 12 volt solutions. You install it yourself in 10-15 minutes no cutting wires all plug n play. Fire up your ride from your warm sleeping bag get the car warmed up before you get out.

How to say you’re scared of the dark without saying it… (forest gump voice) “ I have a 12 foot tall flood light, a head lamp light, a bright flashlight, a game camera with a light, in my car I’ve got string lights, hanging lights, cup holder lights…” just joking man, I love the video and I’ve got a light problem too! lol I actually love being out in the dark by myself, I get a little high from it. All the lights really help with the ambiance and making the video look cool. That new 12 foot light is awesome though and will definitely be used a lot in upcoming adventures. Thanks for watching and God bless

I upgraded to a sleeping bag big 5 had one hella cheap and swapped out one light for a better one too ... I only bring my jackery to plug in the pumps for air mattress got good jackets and Carhartt face shield hat things and gloves but temp doesn't get low like that here 😂 was 30 waking up once in a summer tent like nahhh I'ma go sleep in my car now

They kept me very comfortable through most of the night, by morning only the 18 hour ones still had a little heat though. They definitely help but warmer sleeping bag would be the best option

Throw a remote start unit in there. You can start the car and let her heat up right from your sleeping bag. I love the set up !
Only plan to keep this car until spring so not worth it at this point. My next vehicle I definitely want auto start though
