- Do Foreigners in Taiwan Speak Mandarin Chinese ? There are more and more foreigners living in Taiwan. I wonder if they can speak Mandarin in Taiwan? Or do they mostly use English? I hope this video can inspire you.

第二位感覺是個菁英⋯總共3+9個月的中文學習時間就已經這麼流利了 好佩服他的學習速度跟成果（我覺得第二位是所有受訪者中口語能力最好的，完全不需要任何字幕就可以輕鬆理解！）

我覺得他們都很強欸，我在日本讀語言學校也差不多一年半，但日文也沒像他們說中文這樣流利…佩服！
中文對他們來說幾乎沒有文法啊！沒有時態變化，沒有詞性，詞句順序錯了只是聽起來覺得怪怪的但是還是能夠理解，所以一大堆人學中文六個月大概就能夠開口說了。

像是act action active activate react 對他們來說字首字尾加上去可以大概推斷意思但換成中文就是
動/演 動作 活潑/積極 啟動 反應/應答 他們應該會更難記
尤其是在學寫的時候 他們應該很頭痛

The second girl's command of Taiwanese Mandarin is so impressive, her accent and nuances of the language will make her sound like a native speaker in no time...
Some people pick up languages very quickly and there are physical brain differences that gives them the advantage over other people. There is also a genetic component and of course, people learning better learning techniques and immersion.
Won’t be surprised if she is one of them who has those physical brain structure advantages.

我几乎不相信第二位女生只学了一年的中文。她的中文已经非常好。我认识很多中文学生（我也是一个）我认为她的学习速度超过他们。连在网上我没看过那么厉害的学生。太棒了。

It would be difficult for them to live there if they did not speak in Mandarin. Also it would help integrate them into the culture and shows respect for the culture

it would've been good to know which country each guest came from, although you can kind of tell from their accent when they drop some english words. first chick: french. second chick: english. third chick: australia. dude: USA. last chick: introduced herself as from germany.

第二個 太強了吧，學九個月的中文而已 可以溝通了。
他們都好厲害...學一年就能這麼流利溝通!!!
學語言最快的方式就是住在當地
照理說3個月就能跟別人溝通了
其實中文文法相對英文簡單很多，是音調跟文字很難，另外中文的詞彙也比較曖昧不清
中文其實背的東西很多 我反而覺得英文能夠延伸的使用的部分比中文多很多 比如字根自首這類的

Actually the last one with green hair is not bad for only a year of learning mandarin. I give her 2 years and she will be very fluent. Practice make perfect. Overall the other girls and guys are quite good. For me if anyone want to learn mandarin, Taiwan is the right place.

I just started learning chinese two months ago. I had some basics for characters because i studied japanese before (theyre entirely different languages ik) and I can say that characters are my fave part of learning chinese

大部分的人學習外語的動力是尋求工作機會。當單一政治實體的經濟或軍事能力越強，其他的社會/文化遺產/哲學之道就會慢慢被淘汰和消失
想碰到國語好一點的外國人的話建議你再往南部看看吧 臺北的話基本不需要學多少中文畢竟那裏的簡單溝通幾乎可以用英語就好
你如果去類似臺南嘉義之類的城市的話可不一樣。住在那邊的人學的不是因爲有興趣的動力而是要生存的 :P

Impressive! So many of them can speak Mandarin.
In Thailand, if you approached foreigners, perhaps you will only find one who is conversant in Thai after approaching 1000 persons.
It's sad that foreigners in Thailand can be like that. I never understood why someone would move to another country if they don't want to immerse themselves in the local language and culture.
Theres not many good resources for learning thai but there are a lot for learning chinese.
So maybe thai people should make a thai language app or something?
@@pear-zq1uj The ling app is pretty good for learning Thai I believe, but I'm not sure exactly. I used it for my Tagalog and it helped me improve a lot. If I remember right, I think the app was initially made for learning Thai
@@pear-zq1uj It's chicken-and-egg issue. It's because not many people wanting to learn beyond basic tourist level that leads to no one wanting to produce materials, or because no one produces learning resources leading to not many people learning the language properly ?

看來學習環境真的很重要....一年就可以聽懂跟溝通，只差在書寫吧，台灣人也是小時候靠肉體的記憶練出書寫的...

Many Germans are fluent in English, it's nothing unusual.

Yes, many Germans speak English and speak it very well. But that young woman sounded like a native US speaker. Usually it’s not hard to tell that a German person is, well, still German when speaking English. I could not tell with that young woman, except for the small issue that she pronounced “semesters” a little different. I think maybe she lived in the States for a while or has/had American friends.
Some germans care about their accent, most do not

講話上幾乎少有日韓的敬語 (書信謙詞除外)
文法上不用套過去未來動詞時態
成語甚至進階古文文言文難度大增 但外國人對話也不大需要使用
書寫忽略的話 正常對話應該算好上手?
網路上有些韓國人的口音甚至可以模仿得聽不出來
有沒有語言天份差很多，我是沒認識什麼外國人，認識移工比較多，能會多種語言，包括中文，英文，是印尼或馬來西亞最多，認識厲害點是5種語言起跳

被訪問的各位，中文都非常好，不容易啊。簡體字的寫法和標準的中文寫法二回事，彷彿是不同的語言，寫法完全不同，但会讀不一定会寫。
我敢打包票用了手机十年以上的人从事与书写无关的工作即使认识繁体字也很可能不会写了。
简体和繁体，都是标准。我小时候学书法，会写很多繁体字，两种字体之间还是有一定规律的，例如车字旁金字旁言字旁等偏旁。

Sure seems like there's an increasing number of Euro/American folks coming here, a few years ago you'd rarely ever see foreigners but now you'd find one at every turn in Taipei.

平時所見，會中文的外國人大多只會講
繁体字是需要潜移默化认识的事情，再就是对非母语者来说“猜字”的难度也更大一些。我相信从一开始只学习繁体中文的外国人去看简体中文可能也会有很多不认识。
我覺得學了繁體字之後，“猜字”是比較容易的。譬如說如果我看到“壤”這個生字，因為我很常用“讓”這個字，所以比較容易猜“壤”怎麼唸，就可以用電子字典去查。那我的確覺得看簡體字有點困難，但只學了簡體字的人不會也有困難看繁體字吧？
第二個好扯..發音標準就算了用字遣詞還很精準😅

我第一年就在台灣的時候我學得很流利，是因為我每天吃跟當地人交流. J一個問題是很多台灣人想跟我說英文，但是我不太願意，我覺得如果一個外國人就在台灣每天跟台灣人說英文那就是一種浪費。我很尊重台灣的萬華和風俗習慣。
