  • This Erling Haaland technical practice (drill) is focused on movements beyond to score.
    STRUCTURE
    • Area sizes: Relevant half pitch size
    • Arrange the pitch as shown in the video. Place one (1) large goal at the end of the area and place the mannequins as shown in the video.
    • The practice requires two (2) outfield players.
    • The practice requires one (1) goalkeeper.
    • The practice commences with the striker positioned behind the mannequins. The coach plays a pass into the serving player, and the striker times the movement in behind the mannequins as the serving player releases the ball.
    • Use different mannequins to make runs in behind.
    • Use different angles of passes for the serving player.
    STRESSES
    • Try and score within 3-5 seconds.
    • Introduce offsides (age dependent).
    • Encourage the striker to hit the target after receiving the pass.
    • Add a recovering defender
    • PHYSICAL LOAD: Adjust area sizes based on physical outcomes. Use larger areas for high sprints/distances and smaller areas for accelerations/decelerations.

    • SCAN - See the ball, mannequin and goal
    • SUPPORT - Movements to build speed and break the defensive line
    • SUPPLY - Shift the ball into the space and shoot
