How to Convert a Jet Ski Trailer into a Kayak Trailer and Launch Your Kayak

- So, I finally picked up an aluminum jet ski trailer for my kayak, now what? It's time to convert that jet ski trailer into a kayak trailer and it's easier than it appears at first. In this video I'll show you the simple steps that I took to convert mine. I detail out all of the components I purchased for the conversion in the blog post as well.

Nice setup. I like the retractable ratchet straps. We converted a Jon boat trailer for out Hobie PA17T. We're pretty much limited to boat launches due to the weight of the kayak (250 lbs before people and gear), so the trailer was a necessity. I'm guessing you setup is good for saltwater as well since it's aluminum and stainless steel.
Wow, that kayak is a beast. Yes, with salt we're always fighting rust so aluminum and stainless assist with that.
Ron, you're100 % correct. I love my crew cab, and my 5ft bed. And yes, i find it easier to trailer my 12ft Vessel. I can rinse everything, keep all my hull accessories stored, and back it into my garge. I have plenty of launch spots. Without using a ramp. Thanks for sharing. 💯 😎🛶

Hey, does your kayak bounce while on the trailer and you transport? If so how do you fix that issue.
it is strapped down to the tubes that spring up and down on the aluminum strips but the kayak itself doesn't "bounce". It's like it's sitting on shock absorbers but it's so light that it does move up and down if that makes sense.
How long is your kayak?

The Zulu is 12’ 7”….its going to work!
