The Couchsachraga Bog | Adirondack Hiking

Crossing the infamous Couchsachraga bog in the Dismal wilderness of the Adirondack High Peaks from BOTH directions and going different routes both times!!
If your on your quest to become an Adirondack 46er or just hiking mountains in the Adirondacks then i bet you've heard horror stories about crossing this bog.
The Couchsachraga Bog is one of the main obstacles to get past when hiking to Couchsachraga Peak. The wilderness out there is also known as the "Dismal Wilderness" and you can kind of see why when watching this video. This is the complete unedited clip of my experience. 😂 They definitely come in handy there...those poles have saved my butt a few times weather it be from falling or boggy situations like that
