The Lawrence Welk show was the Classiest weekly program to grace the TV screen for 30 yrs. This level of talent and entertainment in music, song and dance is just not done in 2023 and will probably never be matched. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL !

I remember watching the Lawrence Welk show when I spent the weekend at my grandparents house as a kid. ❤

It's just a privilege to watch shows from the best era of music, i suppose.

I love the pianist and conductor. Performers seemed happier back then.

i was very young sitting at my grandparents knee watching this show with them. They never missed an episode. Me and my sister dancing around mocking, would crack them up...until i bumped into the table with the glass figurines, then fun time was over.

It’s really a HUGE shame that they hardly ever air programs from 1955-1968!

They use to…. All the 60s shows did have reruns but only in the 80-90s. Nowadays they only show 70-80s shows

Norma Zimmer can clearly be heard on Bing Crosby's original White Christmas. The largest selling record of all time. Bing was regular watcher of the show, too.

Was on every Saturday night on CBS during my first few years of school. That was sure television than. Back then when a person who was spreading their legs and having children and collecting, they would certainly hear about it from their parents. Back then parents got to punish you as long as you lived under their roof.

I always hoped Welk would invite Black Sabbath to be on his show. That would have been cool!!

Maybe if they had invited him to join them on tour first he would have reciprocated...
