In this video we show how easy it is to connect your iPhone to wireless CarPlay on our new 15.6:" T-Style XL Radio. #ford #F150 #CarPlay #android #Apple #LinksWell
My CarPlay was working fine until a few minutes ago. The phone connects to the unit via Bluetooth with no problem. It will not connect via CarAuto for some reason. I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting via Bluetooth. I’ve tried forgetting the device on my phone, as well as deleting my phone from the connected devices on the unit, and reconnecting to no avail. Any recommendations or troubleshooting steps to get my CarPlay working through CarAuto again?
This is a new one. I cranked my truck up and the screen is not powering on. It is completely black. My phone is connected because this video’s audio is playing through my speakers. I am able to turn the knob to adjust the volume. I am unable to do anything else or see anything.
I’ve been connected to CarAuto with no problems, but now it froze while using Maps and doesn’t pop up anymore. I’ve turn the truck off and on, disconnected from the radio and connected again but only thing that happens is I’m assuming it still connects to the radio because I have audio when I get notifications but I can’t see anything. It’s just stuck on the “how to connect” screen. Would anyone have any suggestions?
We retain all the factory camera functions. If it has the touch screen controlled 360 camera you will need our 360 retention module to go with the radio.
Yes we retain all those. The features we can not retain are - tracking inside the Ford MyPass app - trailer back up assist - auto parking - auto AC while in remote start.
@@LinksWellIncYou lose the auto AC in remote start?... Is that something you specifically lose on the superduty/F150?.... That's almost a deal breaker for me lol what does the radio have to do with the auto AC?? Also, I used to own a Pheonix android radio, and it had a "app" that let you access the entire factory Ford SYNC screen, it just like mirrors the factory unit Can this radio do that? Since that was the ONLY way I could turn on and off my heated steering wheel on my 2017 F350 Thanks!
If i was to purchase a sims card for the radio so that it no longer connects to the trucks wifi, then will i be able to connect to wifi while also using wireless apple carplay.
@@LinksWellInc the CarPlay is working now but I have a AT&T Sim card and like you said it in the other video it’s not working is there any updates for that? Also I connected a subwoofer now I’m not getting any sound. I got sound the first day.

I would like to see the boot sequence from when you get into the truck and turn on the ignition. Does it go directly into Carplay?
It can if you set up the Car Auto app to Auto Run.

Then run the latest App and MCU updates
Can you use wireless car play via Bluetooth and hot spot to the head unit. Split screen work with car play and apps like Netflix /CZcams ?
How do i lock the A/c panel on Apple carplay? Because every time i get into apple carplay i have to swipe up and appers for few seconds
@@MrCharly619 in CarPlay? Shouldn’t be any issue in CarPlay. Some 3rd party apps may force the menu closed quick
Nice!
Can you still do wired CarPlay?
Not on the XL. Wireless only

How about integrating the oem reverse cam or panoramic cams like on the raptors

What do you do when it no longer wants to connect? Even after unpairing and repairing? Mine won't connect to iPhone or android anymore
Try going to settings and select save and reboot
Copy I will try that. Thank you for your quick response.
Update. It didn't work I tried it a few times it's still giving me that never ending death loading blue wheel. What else can I try ?
@@HectorGonzalez-ei8jw have you updated the radio at all?
I have not. I check for system updates frequently but it hasn't given me an option to update is there a specific way to do a proper update on these?
Do they have the 15.6" for 2019 GMC Canyon?
Nothing for a Canyon.
John can’t find a you tube video on how to mirror my iPhone to 15.6 gen 6 xl can you help?
Currently it isn’t working. Only way is using mirroring is to use the HDMI adapter and doing HDMI to Lightning.

Yes because using a SIM doesn’t use the WiFi. So the CarPlay can control the WiFi chip.
dose it work with the 2023 F-150
It does not. The 21-up is an entirely new dash. Requires a completely different radio. Nothing that we have in development yet.
my blue tooth keep disconnecting will not connect with car play tried everything all antennas are connected
Check if the radio needs any updates
