Rematch: Vishy Anand vs Praggnanandhaa | Tata Steel Chess India 2018

  • The Tata Steel Chess India Blitz was a double round robin event. Yesterday we published the video of round 6 where Praggnanandhaa with the white pieces heavily attacked Vishy Anand's king. Vishy defended calmly and won that game.
The battle of generations took place once again in the 15th round. This time Anand had the white pieces. What would happen in this encounter? Would Anand extend his score against Pragg to 2-0 or would Pragg get his revenge? Check out the video to find what happened.

From across the pond -- hello from the US! Just want to say that Vishy is a legend and probably my favorite chess player of all time. He's so polite while being in the top 10 easily. He's just an amazing person with a huge heart and it is always a joy to watch and study his games.
There have only been slightly more than a dozen players that have surpassed an ELO of 2800 and Vishy is in that club. He will always be a legend and even today, he is still one of the world's top players even though he's in his 50s now. His mind is still as sharp as ever and his playing is still a tremendous amount of fun to follow.
Thank you Vishy for everything you've given to the chess world. You are an amazing person first, though.
