    Hey Mike. Do you why my bulb isn’t lighting to project? I replaced it with a brand new bulb

    • @mp5802
      @mp5802  Před 11 měsíci

      I haven't run into a new projector bulb not working. First make sure that you are putting the right bulb in (some are 24V DC, but machines that use line voltage are 120V. AC Usually, there's a label near the bulb, and the old bulb would obviously be your guide as well. Other than that, I'd start with my voltmeter and check that the right voltage is at the socket, then follow the wiring if you haven't got the proper voltage. I really haven't been working on projectors recently. Good luck.

    Hello, so my 1585 doesn't properly work. The wheels don't spin, and the auto-threathing doesn't work. Only the bulb works and there is air coming off from the bulb compartment. Do you know what might be the problem?

      Probable broken worm gear or belt (typically, replace both). Watch this: czcams.com/video/VmHTjm-XzDw/video.htmlsi=5GvvNIvUdWNPkCiJ

      The one on the right is pushed down to speed up rewinding - never use it when film is threaded through the film path. The one on the left is the framer knob which is turned left or right to adjust frame centering shown on the screen.

    Hello Mr Patterson,
    ive took the leap from super 8 to this 16mm 📽 i was wondering if the largest reel capacity is 1600ft or can this machine play 2000ft ?
    Kind regards and many thanks 👍

    • @mp5802
      @mp5802  Před rokem +1

      Yes, the reel capacity is up to 2000 ft on this series projector. Most longer films that I've used are on 1600 ft reels (30 min.).

    Hi there, I’ve just found one of these units in my grandparents house, must have sat around 18 years. Powers up and everything works as far as I know but I need to get film for it.
    Was wondering if you know of anywhere that sells features films on 16mm? Also what’s the screen size it can go to?

    • @mp5802
      @mp5802  Před rokem +1

      Try eBay. Be prepared to spend some serious money if you want a feature film. I'd start out with an inexpensive short film to test the projector before risking an expensive film in it.

    Hi sir. I was hoping I could ask you a question. I have this same model and as I started playing a film today everything just stopped spinning. I imagine the belt is bad. My question is, how can I remove the film that is in the projector? I really appreciate any advice, thank you!

      @mp5802  Před rokem

      Funny...I have already responded to how to load/unload film on these models. See page 20 of this manual: www.film-tech.com/warehouse/manuals/BH258525902592OPER.pdf

    • @mp5802
      @mp5802  Před rokem

      Basically, swing the lens open, then open the sprocket guards on both top and bottom sprockets. Then, gingerly loosen the film off the sprockets and pull it out.

    Hi Mr Patterson. I was wondering, can you make a video on how to manually load the film into one of these? The autoload function isn't working and I want to try and get it through manually to test it, then work on the autoload feature. Thanks!!

    • @mp5802
      @mp5802  Před rokem +1

      Perhaps, I'll do that some day. In the meantime, look at this typical operators guide - it shows manual loading on page 20: www.film-tech.com/warehouse/manuals/BH258525902592OPER.pdf

    • @mp5802

      The tone dial is the same as any audio device, treble and bass adjustment. No, you don't need to use it. I do think that dialing up the treble makes voices a bit easier to hear plainly on some films.
