i feel like the goal these days is just to sound decent (like voice timbre, character) and no technical skill, just storytelling in that "uh" "trailing off softly every bar" voice, no pattern, no rhyme scheme. just da da da da. no flow. and making it literally just passable where people go, oh, that's rap music. like seeing a car from far away, yea it's a car. but you get closer and it's scuffed af, no engine. no wheels. idk man 😂

this was funny to watch but personally I like simon rapping. If it wasn't for me rapping/singing first I would have probably never turn to production. Everyone has a typical thing they like or don't like though but me personally I think Simon dope at rapping especially since he admitted like I wanna say the first year he appeared on youtube heavily he wanted to learn how to rap better and sing. Nowadays because of all the crazy stuff producers go through to get paid or recognition or simply just to not get screwed I'd rather produce and rap and get looked at weird about it versus being trapped in the never gonna get resolved cycle of producers being screwed over when it comes to only being a producer.
