    Didn't the previous classic have these springs as standard, as the holes are already in the seat , RE should of fitted these as standard on the Reborn

    I purchased the Signals Edition in Desert Storm in May, 2022. After watching "Ride with Warro" video, (adding the seat spring kit), I ordered the springs. My bike was only about a month old! The spring kit makes the bike look more "old retro" for certain but they are actually listed as "non-functioning springs", (so don't think your bum is going to receive any bonus cushioning!) I also noticed I was sliding forward a little bit on my seat because the springs raise the rear of the seat higher by about 1/2 an inch or about 12mm? I like the more "retro" style but prefer the rear of the seat a little lower (when it was "stock" height!)... so it's a toss up.. a little pro's and con's with these spring kits! I really wish someone would manufacture a new seat spring kit that wasn't as "stiff" and a smidgin shorter (so the seat would remain "stock height"). Since the kit was a little hard ... (time consuming) to install (due to the tight spaces where the bolts or fasteners are located, I will keep the spring kit ON for now and won't think about returning it to "stock". If someone comes up with a "spongier" spring kit however, I'll grab my wrenches and swap them out!

      The springs are non functional…. Either the front tongue needs to be removed or the middle bolt needs to be removed. These were never intended to work.

    Hey Vinay, can you make a video on how to take care of the paint scheme on this bike? I own the same colour and model, Feb 2022.
    Also, in my ownership, I have observed a few things with the bike. Can you comment on these?
    1. Major issue: both of the disc brakes of my bike are making sound. The disc pads are getting rubbed with the disc. Some times the sound become unbearable. I took my bike to the service centre twice. In first instance, they rubbed the disc pads with sandpaper. Discs became quite for a while. Then, on second instance, though both discs were making the usual sound, front disc was also making a chi-chi sound. Agency changed the front disc pads. Costed me 250rs. Old brake pads are not worn out as I have only ridden 1500 kms. The chi-chi sound is not there anymore, but the usual sound of rubbing is there. Now I am again going to the agency with the issue. I friend owns a meteor and is also facing the same rubbing issue. Some people are also facing the sound issue as well. It seems the issue is very common with RE bikes.
    2. The foot pegs position is very uncomfortable for me. You can not really place either of the foot completely flat on the foot pegs and also you may have to flare out the right leg out. This observation was also made by a youtuber named Stuart( from England).
    3. Mirrors get loose quite easily.
    4. The engine casing gets rusted quite easily.
    5. Chipping of paint on the bike key insert section( black ring outside the chrome section).
    6. Brake bite is lacking from my experience.

    recently bought a classic ......i have one small doubt ... like old enfiels this reborn has both of its seats too close... so after using the springs will it spoil the seat covers due to continuous friction of pilion seat ?

  • @Vignesh_viggy
    @Vignesh_viggy Před rokem +1

    Only old classics and bullets bikes requires these Springs, it's job to reduce the transferring of vibration from bike to our body not only for the additional suspension, but in reborn we don't required because of J series engine.

    Hello, I wonder if You could help me with a couple of questions about these seat springs. First; does the installation of springs increase seat height when using standard seat? And then does the springs have any additional suspension effect or are they just for show? Thaks!

    • @motovin77
      @motovin77  Před 2 měsíci +1

      There is no apparent increase in seat height with springs, these springs are just for aesthetics and have no practical function or action.

    • @motovin77

      Well I never experienced any vibrations with or without these springs. Now I have just switched to RE touring seats, which provides better air circulation due to the ribbed pattern.

    To the extent that the springs are non-functional, simply stop the assembly after they are bolted to the seat and spare yourself a lot of fiddling in the fender/frame area. No one will notice the lower bracket is missing.
