When you realise one of the greatest movies that
1. Exploded the MCU
2. Gave RDJ his comeback
3. Set a tone for future superhero movies/shows
Was basically an improv 🤣🤣🤣
Wish most Marvel Movies went back to this Formula.
Except with a script this time....

The tone part is the issue honestly because instead of borrowing the team's process Marvel tried to strictly script in the results, quips included, regardless of film.
They outsourced the writing, to people more qualified (experienced actors) at no additional cost. genius.
Experienced actors are not always more qualified writers lmao wut
Also to say it didn't cost any extra is disingenuous. Paying crew for time they aren't actually working while you fumble around trying to create a script isn't exactly cost saving lmaooo

He was brilliant in that movie, not unlike most of his roles. Amazing actor!
Biggest thing I took from this is John favreau is just a freaking cool cat that brings minds together

Makes sense when he was yelling at the scientist about making the Arc Reactor. That Tony made it in a cave with a box of scraps that sounds completely improvised
And that's what made it sound so great. It sounded real.
And yet it has better 'writing' than many of the Marvel films that had scripts

Sometimes, having less choices is actually better and striving for perfection becomes the enemy of good.
@@billywashere6965 You can guarantee that to be the case for any MCU project since Endgame.
They're dancing around it, but usually when the script is being "written on set" that means the studio is butting heads with the filmmakers. Changes and compromises are being made. It's not that the script wasn't written beforehand, it's more that it's being adjusted throughout, which is actually very common.

What’s crazy is that in terms of “writing”, it really is the best Marvel movie.
And Bridges is being modest. He was a pretty big part of why it was great. "Tony Stark was able to build this in a cave!” *pause* “With a box of scraps!"

I distinctly remember going into this movie thinking it would be another mediocre super hero movie. Maybe even the last we'd see of Marvel for a while. Two decades later I still get pumped for the next theater experience with my family.
Marvel died with Tony.
No script but great film nonetheless.
They did the same thing on the set of The Fugitive, with Harrison Ford. It won an Oscar. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
