- Overview video of the famous Federal Signal Twinsonic CTS bar. This bar was featured previously and is back in my hands temporarily.
I have covered general Twinsonic questions in past videos, figured I would cover the CTS specifically since i have one at hand. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
This is in my opinion, the TOP DOG of the Federal products in the 70's and 80's. I've got one hanging from the ceiling in my man-cave with the Red/Blue combination like on "CHIPS" TV series.
A true classic!

Do you have a video showing/describing the dome clean up process? The wet sanding, grit size of paper, and any wax you use to finish it up. I have to NOS blue domes and one that is "slightly" used with minor crazing.
The process itself is pretty straight forward, I always start with a Soapy water cleaning along with Magic Eraser on the outside of the domes. Next steps vary depending on how bad it is.. you might need to wetsand, and determining grit really depends on how bad the domes are. Just remember if you start with 1000, move to 1200, then 1500, then 2000 etc. This will reduce swirls and give a better overall look in the end. Wrap it up with some Novus or other type of plastic polish and a powerball or similar. When all done, I tend to use some Wax and give it a polish to give it some UV protection and make it look sharp.
You've got some great light bars. I recently purchased a 67 Dodge police car that needs lighting. Do you ever sell these somewhere?
I have sold lights from time to time, my intention is to use this channel to inform and try to assist others that share a love of vintage lighting. You can find me on Facebook (for now) and elightbars.org.
Great video! Putting one of these CTS Lightbars on my 1978 Chevy Nova 9C1 Police Car. The restoration is taking place right here on CZcams, the most recent episode touches on how we were able to get one of these very special bars

Very Cool, working on my own automotive projects and maybe one day I'll get an old cop car.
