I am rooting for tex because his story is heart melting .. being young and finding the top is beautiful & rare but to do it in your older years is truly equally beautiful & never been done. I also think tho with that being said jiri is the best fighter in that division even at JJ's age I'm afraid jiri would give him alot of problems he's a truly fluent monk martial artist it's a passion a painting if you will . If you get jiri in a choke you will win unfortunately when they are as fluid as water they are not chokeable . I see jiri winning in his hardest win for the next couple years and tex's final fight because he's going to bring it all and it's going to be as much as jiri can barely handle . That will be an outstanding match man .. Tex hope you pull it out old man

i want glover to win, he did say he wants to retire this year. but we all know majority of fighters don't get to go out as the champ. still a great story he has after so long and finally cracking the best of the best to become champ.

I usually have to see quite a bit of a new prospect at this 'next level' before I believe the hype, & even longer to become a true fan. Jiri was instantly my new favorite fighter after his UFC debut. I knew a little about Jiri's career but was curious on whether 5th ranked Volkan on your debut was a Genius move or a premature ejacu..... into the UFC. Didn't have to see more than 1 round and I knew that Justin Gaethje was no longer the most violent man in UFC. Jiri is guaranteed entertainment with nostalgic throwbacks to the power of traditional martial arts. I love Glover, been a fan for years and I was so happy for him to win the Title against Jan. But, I'm full steam ahead on the Czech Sumarai hype train and I reckon its gonna be a LONG ASS, but NEVER dull ride. Cannot wait for this fight!!!
If Jiri can survive the grappling exchanges without getting finished he should most likely win the fight by brutal KO.
This fight will be a war, and the two fights before this one will be wars.

I feel like Glover is being slept on here. Don’t be surprised if he gets this to the ground and makes short work of Jiri.

Glover can't just take people down whenever he wants to. he showed this in the Jan fight, he needs them on the fence. every time Jan would angle off and answer the pressure he had success. if, and that's a BIG IF, Glover can get Jiri to move backwards, Jiri will find the angles to not be on the fence. this whole time, there is no angle or range where Glover is safe from Jiri.

Dudes right he's really in a landing zone the entire time of danger setting up his kill however dude up above is forgetting that even tho Tex is at a reach disadvantage all he has to do is throw caution to the wind and explode with good form and solid combos bc his power is every bit good enough to sleep jiri , jiri will have to block or evade and when he goes to evade when his arms are sore glove will have a chance to spear pin him hips against cage double ice cream scoop and center down on him still standing slowly and outta no where jiri laying shoulder deep in anaconda swamp water potentially fight ending (jan fight shows that ) going to be a great fight !
Glover is for sure being underestimated. It could go either way but Glover has more ways of winning.

Rewatch the Jan fight and see how Glover lifted Jan and owned him on the ground. Glover wins relatively easily and this will be a huge growing fight for Jiri like Ngannou was for Gane.

Your example is good too but Gane has been training his wrestling and admits that he dropped the ball by not wrestling/grappling enough.

Rewatch the Jiri/Dominick fight and see how Jiri exploded back to his feet after Reyes took him down. Glover will likely get a takedown, but can he keep him there? It’s gonna be fun to find out!

Prochazka in many ways reminds me of Andy Hug. He's from a different breed. It's such a shame that he's fighting me fellow countrymen and, more than that, great person in general, Glover. I'm completely torn in this one.
