what sterling did was dishonorable, true patriots do not stand for that shit. this is the first time I've ever rooted against an American in combat sports.

Yan is so freaking good. I was just shocked at how he totally dominated the takedowns. Like these effortless trips and throws. Those are so freaking hard to hit. And to do it to a great grappler was crazy. Yan’s skillset is incredible
If you watched his fights before UFC u would know. .he is very well rounded..u need striker like izzy or ground game guy like khabib to win against him
Those trips and throws are actually quite easy to pull off, unless you're a complete novice 🤭
I was impressed more with his takedown defense. Aljo wasn't really defending takedowns, he wanted to be on the ground. He was pretty much just pulling guard with extra steps. But Yan defended all but 1 takedown and really tired Aljo out in the second by nullifying the takedown attempts.

I don't count Aljo out but Yan is extremely talented. What's interesting about him is his ability to increase in pace as the fight progresses. To beat him it will need to be in rounds 1 or 2.
And how good Yan’s defense is. Man does not drop his hands at all

My point was that maybe with Yan having a chip on his shoulder that it could detract from his composure and present Sterling with opportunities, meaning that Yan's attitude could work against him if he loses focus. Then again, the complete opposite could happen, and it could make him deadlier and more focused than ever. I don't know, it was just a thought.
Super excited about this fight. Aljo is a great fighter though, and he did gas himself out super fast in the last fight. I don’t think Yan is taking this lightly because he was winning the last fight before it ended. But if he is then he will be in trouble. Yan by TKO Round 4.

The thing is, the first fight wasn't one sided, but Sterling threw everything he had at Yan, and Yan took it. And Yan didn't even step on the gas in the fight like he usually does in the later rounds

This fight is going to be closer than allot of people give Sterling credit for, if he comes out more conservative and hits Yan with body shots/ flying knees like Sandhagen did he has a legitimate chance to beat Yan.
I feel like I’m the only other person sharing this opinion. Everyone else acts as if Sterling has no chance, when this is MMA. Every fight is really different. And if Sterling really was injured that fight he may be better in this fight, which is bad for Petr if Petr thinks he’s just gonna go in there and win an easy fight. He may actually get caught of guard from a random takedown and get choked out
The actors best shot in the 1st round was a flying knee which didn’t land clean and Yan caught his leg after so it clearly didn’t cause him damage... he has to get seriously lucky to win this fight. Yan by Nasty GNP.
