    Without those snow removal operations in Quebec, circulation is impossible, including parking and access to store. Thanks to them for the awesome job during all the winter!!
    Next montage will be dedicated to snow dump site from various site in Montreal.
    Stay safe on the road, see y'all!

    The residents in the streets where you live could have brought you a coffee if you were already on your street as a thank you for your help. That would be a given in our country. Of course, bringing you a coffee would be great💅👍👍👍😄

      the spoter you see is usually in a team of 2 or 3,the small pick ups you see riving around have the other guys that rotate every 30 to 45 minutes depending on weather and temperature,its easier on the guys and for safety reasons also.

    Someone who actually plows at night. We have alternate parking in our small town in wisconsin from 2am to 6 am. But they don't start plowing until 6am.

    Can you still get parts for SW45 in Montreal ca buddy .

    • @msterpeter1
      @msterpeter1 Před 7 měsíci

      YES easily since about 90% cities and contractors still use one model or the other of the SW45 some are the SW4s a new version but still almost the same parts,now Bombardier sold the snow division that made the SW4s to Prinoth so they still make them newer versions..

    How many times per winter on average do they have to do this work ?

    • @thepragmatic6383
      @thepragmatic6383 Před rokem +5

      According to the city of Montreal, there are approximately 5 snow removal operations during a normal winter.
      A snow removal operation takes on average 4 days and 4 nights for 15 cm of snow received, this time can increase if the quantity received increases considerably.
      The city clears approximately 10,000 km of streets, sidewalks and alleys, in addition to municipal (non-private) parking lots.
      Montreal receives about 190 cm of snow and 175 mm of rain or freezing rain per winter.

      That blows my mind ! I live between the 51st & 52nd parallels, just south of greater London, so 6 or 7 degrees north of Montreal but we can go years without seeing any snow, we don’t ever get freezing rain either. All that water around us keeps us sort of warm i guess, & bloomin wet !
      The country grinds to a halt when snow settles here because we have no means to clear it away.

      And to think costs Montreal 192 Million dollars to clear snow annually, which represents a mere 3% of the total budget

    If you think this is cool, you should see what they do in Montreal when it rains a lot. Several residents disappeared after the monster WetVac came through. Mon Dieu!
