I love how she described what Drybar is like, stresses the folks are mostly white and Mormon. It highlights exactly how different she is as a person from her immediate audience, which keeps it real and adds to the humor. Makes it more relatable.

That is true. I know a lady who is mixed indigenous and scottish, Irish, might have some French, Canada. She has what she says is an ethnically ambiguous appearance, she could pass for black white mix; her hair curly and her features are black.

Oh wow. This lovely woman is so in tune with all those wonderful people in her life. She doesn't have a clear cut path. She has a very rich life. How many of us have been exposed to so many cultures. Some people could look at their life as a tragedy. But she obviously loves all these loving beautiful family members in her life as blessings. She loves and appreciates them for their uniqueness. What a treasure she has. And what a precious being she is to truly love and appreciate all that diversity in her family life ❤❤❤❤

First time hearing Marija. She's hilarious and spot on!! My ex-mother in law was Italian and we went to their house for my first Thanksgiving and it's exactly as Marija described it. All the older women cooked, the men were sitting and drinking and watching TV, kids were playing. She actually asked ME to make my ham glaze. WOW, that was something special for a newcomer to the family. The meal was not a typical Thanksgiving dinner either. It was all Italian dishes with a few American dishes thrown in. You were served your first plate by your husband, seconds and more were up to you. But you were expected to have no less than 3 servings EACH person.
Maya you are beautiful! I'm Italian also and all I did was laugh from the beginning of your act until the very end especially when you said that the caregiver got the house and was dressed better than you! By the way I'm single also! 😎
