First thing that come in mind when seeing a bag of bodies hanging:
- You think that's to lure something?
What kind of something would it lure? The house was filled with dolls, so I assume the bags would be too? So they aren't made of meat, meaning it can't exactly lure anything carnivorous... What if the bags are just made for company for the creepy dude who chased the two characters?
@@liespootemans2502 actually I think they might be dead bodies because there’s a bunch of flies surrounding the bag like the corpse you see at when gabs dropped her block in the beginning
I'm pretty sure it's a reference to Inside, a game that's a lot like this, and also starts in the woods.
Lies Pootemans If you look at the life sized mannequins, they look like they're made of flesh, especially the faces. Since the bodies in the woods are clearly people (ie, the flies hanging around them), I assume that the guy is capturing people and using their skin (you see him skinning...something at one point, too).

Developers didn't want these games to be co-op to keep the player more immersed I believe. Playing alone helps keep that tension the game does so well in building, and playing with someone else might make the player feel more secure in ways. Makes sense to me.
So true, some potentially scary games were completely ruined atmosphere wise by making them party games instead of single player experiences. Wouldn't hurt to make some side stuff multiplayer if they're into that, could imagine that being fun. Brings me back to Chip & Dales Rescue Rangers, in my head.

They could make it an unlockable thing for after you finish the game. So maybe you can replay it and get some achievements with a friend, or just have some fun.
@@angelcdeath Scary games are scarier when you actually play them. I could watch the entirety of Markipliers FNAF series and not jump once, but the first time I played it I almost pee’d my pants. You never know how scary a game can be until you’re playing it yourself
Excited to see this whole playthrough! I loved the first one. Went on a huge lore hunt via CZcams recently in preparation for this game. You were curious what was up with Six consuming things "like a vampire". So, the devs were trying to stick with a theme for the 1st game which was "hunger". Hunger was originally going to be the name for Little Nightmares 1 as well, but they changed it. Six for some reason can gain memories and abilities via consumption. She starts starving to death at some points throughout the game. First time, she gets some bread thrown to her by an unknown child. Second, she eats some strange meat in a cage which was used by the Janitor to capture her. Third, she has to eat a trapped rat. Fourth, (spoilers ahead) she eats a nome that was offering her a sausage which later we come to find out was actually the Runaway Kid turned from child into said nome after the Kid saw the Lady and learned she has a weakness to mirrors in his DLC playthrough. Some believe she "accidentally" ate the nome in her confusion from starvation, but someone (I think the devs maybe?) stated somewhere that her powers she has inside require A LOT of energy to use. Therefore she has to consume larger and more nutritious food which would explain her lunge at the nome instead of the sausage. Others have also said she refused the sausage because she found out the meat on The Maw was made from people (maybe even some other children), but she didn't know the nomes were once children as well. Consuming the nome which had learned about Lady's weakness to mirrors gave Six that same knowledge which allowed Six to defeat Lady. And finally, Six consumes Lady which in turn gave Six the power to steal life from others. She then uses that to get out of The Maw. Hopefully some of that helps people understand how much thought actually went into these games! There's a ton more in the lore as well. If people like this comment, maybe I'll start giving more details in future videos? Idk. But sorry for the long read here!
Duude I've been a fan of this game but never got into the lore. This is mindblowing. I'm so excited to see what they'll do with this one.
I like your thoughts on this. You really dug down deep! What keeps 6 from eating the boy from the very beginning? Does she want to change? Does she just trust him to get her some place new? Mystery mystery mystery!
@@sasaplaysgames5449 Thank ya! I think she's a good person honestly so she doesn't want to consume a fellow human like Mono. Maybe she lost her "vampire" like abilities after the 1st game. Who knows. And I think she's sticking with Mono to help him out since he helped her escape that "Hunter/Trapper" guy after they first met. Or maybe she's completely evil and wants to consume Mono for his ability to use television transmissions to teleport or go into different dimensions or whatever Mono can do. Idk yet. Only been watching Gab's playthrough so I'm curious what the ending will show us.

I remember meeting up an old Game Design tutor of mine who talked about Little Nightmares. He seemed to be a fan of the game's aesthetics, and I can't blame him, considering how grotesquely gorgeous the visuals are.

You might already know this, you missed two hats in the beginning. The first one is in the attic, before climbing back down if you go back to where you got the lever you see a gnome run by; following it will lead you to a hat. The second one was right after your friend helps you jump across the bridge, it is inside the top cage, it is similar to Six's hat. If you ever go back to that area you can get them.
Did she miss the gnome though? Marz plays this and the gnome appears when she pulls out that drawer in the room with the lever, but for some reason it didn't appear for Gab?
@@Invalidationcoded It's strange, but the gnome never went out. For RadBrad it did. Maybe that area was glitched?
@@alejandroelcid the gnome thingy is a dlc, called the gnomes attic. The attic part is a lil dlc area

Theory so far: this game is actually a prequal to the first game, our best friend is actually Six and we get trapped somehow and get taken away from Six, which translates into the first game of Six finding us again.

I just discovered a game called Darkwood. my god this game is good. it's a top down horror game that doesn't rely on jumpscares and I feel is severely underappreciated. it's just so good at atmospheric tension, and I was immersed in this world right from the start.
FWIW Markiplier has a full play through of Darkwood that was really awesome.

Ahh! The sound! The atmosphere! The graphics! This game looks so heckin good. I’m so happy you’re playing this. Dark side scrolling games get far to little attention I feel soIm ready to get scared and process some more fucked up lore. Also I must say watching this game with headphones is nearly a must if you can. This is going to be one chaotic adventure.

I am amazed at the beauty and detail of the art and gameplay for these games. The movement of the clothing, the crows, the sound, the breathing, the wind. I know they are very short games but honestly one the best thought out overall for every little detail. I was actually playing the first one earlier after rewatching a gameplay of that one and this one adding the second character adds a whole nother level to it.
