  • In this video, I am doing a portrait of a young woman and her dog who sadly passed away at just 18 months of age using charcoal on toned paper. The video is on real time and i don't have time to finish the drawing in the course of the video but i show the finished version at the end. In the meantime, I just chat about the drawing and the subject as well as other things going on and general artist stuff. The type of video to stick on whilst you work on your own drawings etc...

Very nice drawing ✍️. I relate about the makeup, I can’t be bothered anymore 😆 Feels good to be free from what people might say or think. 56:03 I like when you talk, it’s hypnotic 😊 Way better than music

Lovely drawing. If you're feeling adventurous you could try willow charcoal to avoid the scratchiness. Not sure if you've tried them, but they create a soft whispy sort of texture, a kind of different experience from anything else, I think. Oh yeah, and they're messy.

tombow eraser - thank you!!! i didn't know such precision was possible!! i've been using kind of a pencil-sized eraser, and erasing nothing just to make a bit of an angle to use as a "point". it is a great way to waste an eraser, lol.
i'd love to see your collection of cacti (is that the plural of cactus?), and your greenhouses. do you ever paint/draw your cacti?
you must have very fine hair like mine. the slightest breeze and my "hairstyle" is blown to bits! ha ha!
i don't know how you can speak and work simultaneously. i'm always concentrating so hard that i would never be able to do that. but i do sing, oddly. i listen to music when i am doing artwork. but i don't think i could speak in intelligent sentences, lol.
i was not bored - at all. i loved seeing the work happening in real time. i never would've seen that tombow eraser in time lapse. and many other little details of what you were doing.
thank you for another fantastic video!!

Yes the tombow eraser is definitely a must.
One day I'll have to show my cacti but as it is very off topic for this channel, it would have to be say a video that is a bit different to what i usually do. When i finally get around to that question and answer video but then people would have to actually ask something that warrants mentioning them lol..

Beautiful. Amazing and fantastic. Thank you for sharing. Is the paper size smaller than A4?
