I’m in Las Vega, it is going to be screaming hot next week and probably for the summer. I planted in regular pots. I think I want to change them to GroBuckets which are self watering, or to Grow Bags with a water source underneath. It looks from your video that this would be okay to do. Do you agree?
Hey, I need help. I have two very small saplings that are getting two big for their container (the pot is similar to your material). The bad thing is that they are in the same container and i wish to dispose of one and repot the other. What do you recommended i do after getting them out of the pot? Should i simply pull the one i wish to dispose of out of the soil? Please help. 🙏 😊
when ur transferring plant to different pots. is it alright to just take it out and put in a new pot, without untwining roots, without seperating the plants/bulbs etc?
If you don't really care about the plant than anything you do is ok. If you want to give plant the best chances of thriving and staying alive for long time than tease the roots out if they are bound. If some break while loosening them it is ok. Really you dont have to be gentle even, just tease out some roots so they can continue to grow out into dirt and not grow into themselves
Hey , my plant is stuck in the pot really tight and cant pull it too hard or it could break . I think the reason behind that is wet soil .What should i do ,.i dont wanna skip water for more than a day.
It's hard to say without knowing more about the container and the plant. nDrying out just a bit won't hurt most plants. Turning it over and bumping the pot with some hard thumps as you turn it around might loosen it. If there is a drainage hole try pushing a rod the size of the hole into the root ball from several angles to also help push it out.
@@skiprgarden well , i tried all but i think it was stuck bcus of long time . I actually broke the pot as i was trying to be gentle with the plant. Thanks though . Can u suggest any tips for natural fertilizer ??
Thanks for making your video so short and to the point. I just transferred my first plant to a bigger pot!
Very helpful, thanks a lot!
Thanks for this video, Skip Richter!
Ty for your video!
If my partner tried that in my clean kitchen - watering it in as he went with nowhere to catch the overflow, I'd be FURIOUS!

yes, but if the roots are tightly packed in it helps to cut and/or loosen them.

what about drainage? should I make a hole on the new pot? should I put some gravel?
It is best to have holes in the container. If it is indoors you will want to put a tray underneath to catch excess water and protect your floors.
@@skiprgarden thank you!
