    Footage of a press interview with Major General Emmanuel Kotoka the head of the Ghanaian Armed Forces and key member of the National Liberation Council (NLC), the ruling junta which replaced the government of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in February 1966. Then a colonel, Kotoka was the man who engineered the coup.
    Major General Kotoka, whose portfolio as a commissioner covered Defence, Health and Social Welfare, addressed issues such as the alleged policy of the Nkrumah government in subverting neighbouring states, the problem associated with the cancellation of scholarships and bursaries granted to Ghanaian students in foreign universities and the question of a return to civilian rule.
    Kotoka also claimed that Dr. Nkrumah was establishing a camp of subversion in Guinea where he went into exile and would raise this matter at the United Nations where he was due to leave the following day.
    The interview was conducted at the Ghana High Commission, 13 Belgrave Square, London.
