My favorite from H.G. Wells. That’s very cool that you adapted it for stage! A lot of truths about the human condition in this book. Thanks for sharing!

It has been a number of years since I've read this HG Wells novel. Probably due for another go. I like hearing your story. Thank you. Happy reading.

Happy reading to you as well, Tim. Let me know what you think of Moreau if you get back to it.

I’m sure I read that same _Famous Monsters_ story, and did read some Wells, but never that. Ah, if I had come across a copy! Everything you read felt moving, but more surely, classic. The “Fear the law” part reminds me of Kipling.

Kipling, definitely, I get that. Man, Famous Monsters was just my life when I was a wee lad. :-)

This was such an amazing video, it had me interested from start to finish. I could sense your passion for this book and it was great to see you breakdown the plot with such detail. I wish more booktubers would talk about about the plot when reviewing books, I know "spoilers" are frowned upon but how can you talk about a book if you can't discuss anything important. Bookshelf Essentials videos are great, please keep them coming.

I read this in high school and remember liking it a lot, though don't remember details. I thought of it as sci-fi for sure. It's so cool you turned it into a play.

It's one of those books where you can debate forever -- SF with a horror edge or horror with SF elements. Both, probably. Interesting that I always fall on the side of SF for Frankenstein and horror for Moreau. Maybe we need a new genre -- the Literature of Hubris. Thanks for watching, Shannon!

@@troytradup genre is a matter of perception for sure in many cases. I consider both Frankenstein and Moreau sci-fi, but horrific sci-fi. Maybe that's the new genre: Horrific Sci-Fi lol
