- My red-eye experience onboard Cathay Pacific from Jakarta to Hong Kong.
I enjoyed my flight onboard this Airbus A340 aircraft from Jakarta to Hong Kong. The service was great and I had enough rest throughout the flight as the world is half asleep. And of course the Airbus A340-300 is one of my favourite aircraft :)

Thanks, but the seats were nice though. It was introduced around 2007-2008 so it hasn't gone that old yet

I'll fly on this red-eye flight next month. I'm expecting there will be a supper or breakfast service on this four hours flight, but why they only serve some snacks instead of a full-meal tray like the two others Hong Kong bound flight from Jakarta served by CX? I wish i'm not hungry as I arrive in Hong Kong in the morning.
I think that most passengers are looking forward to take a rest during the red-eye flight, have a nice flight
Evan H. Hi there. There's a reason why Cathay serves snack boxes instead of a meal tray during red-eye flights.
The reason is very straight forward: Most passengers are sleeping. If they serve a full meal tray, and only a small percentage takes the meal, the rest would go to waste.
