@@danhobson24 nope, you might be referring to another one made by gemmy earlier, or whoever told you this is off by at least one year, there have been many previous animatronic frosty snowmen before(since the late 90's to be exact), maybe you had one of those instead, but the snowflake spinning series started in 2002, before that there was nothing like these on the market.
What's funny is last year at a thrift shop last year I found the mini plush frosty as advertised on that '04 one for 25 cents, but not the actual snowflake spinner lol.
I just got an original 2002 version with the gear controlled spinning arm, plush head, and the try me jack on the side of the base instead of the bottom and the face is almost identical to the one on the box
I used to have this Frosty, but my oldest chihuahua Cheeko peed on it and we had to throw it out. I miss it so much. Thanks for uploading this vid though!
I have all 3 of these also I recommend not using the adaptor or new batteries with the black hat frosty because if you have noticed most black hat frostys have 1 snowflake because they spin too fast and they were made later so they weren't made the best but they had better speaker/sound quality but like most things from gemmy now a days aren't made very well either, here is an example of what happens when using a 6 volt adaptor (in this video his 2 bottom snowflakes fly off while he is spinning, I got a new one recently and his middle snowflake was flickering on and off while the top and bottom snowflake stay lit, so I immediately opened up that snowflake and found the loose connection and filled the snowflake with hot glue, I did the same with his other 2 snowflake to ensure the life of his lights so I won't have an incident like this one again) czcams.com/video/JAl7-ylW0so/video.html This happened over a year ago
Saw one of these at my psychiatrist's office today. It belongs to the receptionist at the front desk, who said she's had it for 8 years and she thinks she remembers getting it from CVS Pharmacy or Walgreens. He's broken (he can only lift his arm a little and he doesn't sway his hips, and his snowflake rope needed help spinning at times but still lit up) due to her grandchildren playing with him, but she still puts him out on display.
I miss mine. 😭😭 I had on when I was 4 and the hat and the snowflakes came off. My grandmother bought me some beads on a string to make him look like he was spinning snowflakes. I had a green hat one and a black hat one. My black hat literally burnt out my green hat one still worked just didn’t have a hat.
I have the 2003 Green Hat version. The hips don't work on him. I don't have the mini Frosty. I've never seen it. I have the box but it's in bad condition. It has a weak motor on the spinning arm and works better depending on the position of the arm. I got him off amazon for $120

Well they stop working even when you don't use them, and as far as I know they were only sold at Walmart but idk.
Oh we used to have this. Back when I was like 6 we had to get rid of it because it started smoking and we thought it was gonna catch on fire. Oh well
