Hi Daisuke, thank you so much for making this video as I totally missed this release 🙆‍♂️🤦‍♂️and how can I as it’s the works of one of México’s greatest directors of all time, Emilio (el Indio) Fernandez! Indeed, el Indio Fernandez has probably the most success from Mexico’s golden era of film making [1936 - 1956]. I’m also glad you mentioned Gabriel Figueroa as he is also credited as the best cinematographer from that era. I hope the Criterion Collection releases more from them.

A sensational telenovela noir with lots of babalu music and voodoo dancing. It's my favorite Mexican mother's day movie. A terrific Criterion release.
