Today I'll do a first impressions of a brand new release from one of my favorite niche houses, Portrayal Man by Amouage.
What are your thoughts about this one?

I love how portrayal goes to the mouth it is fantastic and always wanted that from perfume .. absolute love

Ahahahah 😂 I need to revisit Imitation Man, because the only time I tried was at Crème de la Crème store, a year ago and it didn't impressed me that much 😅

Imitation Man works on my skin way better (more natural) in warmer seasons than my 1st sample try at colder fall time last year (that had way more synthetic feel with vinyl accord). But needs confidence to pull that mainly floral vibe off. For me that lingering soft leather base persuades to wear that floral buket. Patience maybe here rewards. 🖖🙂☕

Very glad to know you enjoyed the video 😊 I definitely recommend you to try it for yourself, but imo it's not a fragrance that will be remembered in the days to come. I really need to give a proper chance to Imitation Man 😅 thank you my friend 🙏🙏🙏
I agree with your assessment. It's as soft as Dia man, or even softer. Not quite what I'm looking for from this house - I want more!! Btw I think there is violet flower in the opening, even though it's not listed, which accounts for the soapy floral vibe that you were getting.
Haven't tried it yet. I like previous releases ; Imitation man and Opus XI. And let me thank you for this new review! 😊😊😊
I wasn't very impressed with Imitation Man when I tried last year, but I need to give it a proper chance to shine 😁

thank you for your honest review. it appears to me that everybody that was reviewing this new release was like "whaaaat?". Maybe this release just hasn't enough personality. Some Amouages have, others have not. Fact. It will still remain one of my favorite houses. ;) And Imitation Man will always be one of my "sex in a bottle" fragrances :))

Portrayal, interlude & figment are the amouge's i want to try out
Interlude is a Amouage staple imo 😁 I don't remember how Figment smells like, but Portrayal is forgettable. Hope to hear your take about them 😊
Will eventually get my hands on some bottles. First i want to review all the ones i have & see what stays & what goes so i can make space on the dresser 😀
figment is magic i also like portrayal...interude is not for me...
This amouage is not bad, but is not genial just like interlude, for exemple

you testing Portrayal for woman not for man.
Do you recommend this one?
Not really. It's a soft scent, having violet and suede as the more prominent notes. It's in the same category of Dior Fahrenheit
Is it soapy?
Yes, at least for a while
For me it is soapy at the dry down.
