I literally just reread Firestar's Quest recently and it was so weird how the way the Firestar/Spottedleaf/Sandstorm thing was 'resolved' wasnt that Firestar had to accept that Spottedleaf was dead, but instead that Sandstorm had to get over the fact that her husband was thirsting over a dead girl and accept that Spottedleaf was always going to be there. Sandstorm put up with so much tbh
I forgot which book, but wasn't there a scene where Firestar is seriously contemplating who he'd choose in star clan! Like the dead girl u talked to a few times or his loyal wife of many years... Hm such a hard choice Firestar. Defiantly not a fan of him after that lol.

I liked Sandstorm better as the mean girlboss. She is welcome to kick my butt any time. She deserved more to her character than just "Firestar's love interest". Also Ashfur has never looked more ✨ glorious ✨
I definitely understand this sentiment, but I think she maintained her girlboss-ness but was a bit more mellow/prudent with it as she aged. I think there's something to be said for how she ultimately took on the role supportive warrior to her clan and mate to the leader. I do wish she had gotten more screen time and done more with the casts as the books moved forward, but what we got of her wasn't bad (for how she behaved). I think it ended up being something of a mirror to how some people mature as they grow. Though all of this is, arguably, up for debate as the books tend to leave a lot up to interpretation.

The writers were the problem with the Spottedleaf thing. They just would not give up despite it going against Firestar’s character. But what do expect from the people who put Dovewing and Tigerstar 2 together even after he betrayed her like, a bazillion times.
