Not everyone hates the guy. Its pretty apparent he has support. This is the second comment I see saying this. Its a niave idea. He is making friends not enemys. I 100% beleive he is concentrating on that instead of doing the opposite, which this idea caters to. Just think about it a little bit more. Thats not a cog in wheel. Its not a situation that needs to happen for another to happen. This reminds me ALL the people in Ukraine thinking he wont invade. Remember that? Undoubtedly the Kremlin wants to rebuild the borders of the USSR, so these threats shouldn’t be tossed away. That said, though, Russia is losing hundreds of thousand of men in Ukraine and may be on the verge of having billions of dollars in foreign banks frozen (which would be crippling to them). I see this threat now as a typical Russian flex of power, much like the constant nuclear threat - one that claims: see, we’re as strong as ever, you haven’t hurt us a bit.

Good that you send this warning for those who, naively, still believe, that the events in Ukraine are "just a minor border dispute between Russia and a neighbor" and can/should be handled internally between these two countries, maybe with "a bit of help from the Europeans, since it´s their area", but "certainly not something that in any way should involve USA"
Step up aid to Ukraine now, or prepare to send soldiers to fight on European soil under NATO article 5 as Russia keeps expanding.
Putin loves to use two specific terms: Russian "sphere of interest" and "historical sphere of influence"
Sphere of interest = a territory that Russia feels entitled to control
Historical sphere of influence = any area that Moscow used to control, either as direct part of USSR or as a puppet state under the Warsaw pact.
These 2 spheres are combined, meaning that ANY "historical sphere of influence" is also automatically a "sphere of interest" and can expect to be gobbled up once it´s their turn. One after another, NATO or not.

    Jokes…
*On Vlad’s Uzbek ambitions, a Ukrainian said, ‘He couldn’t handle Kyiv’s winter; let’s see how he likes Uzbek summers.’
*Vlad the Czar sent a portrait to Uzbekistan. They sent back a mirror with a note: ‘Try conquering this.’
*Vlad the Czar promised prosperity. Uzbekistan answered, ‘We prefer our own - it’s flavored with independence.’
*Vlad eyed Uzbekistan’s borders. They quipped, ‘Our camels are better at handling invasions than your tanks.’
*Vlad joked about Uzbekistan joining his empire. They fired back, ‘We’ve seen your empire - we prefer independence with actual electricity.’
*Vlad whispered plans for Uzbekistan. They laughed, ‘Our mountains have seen greater empires come and go.’
*Vlad envisioned Uzbekistan under his rule. They replied, ‘In your dreams, Czar. In reality, you wouldn’t last a day in our bazaars.’
*On Vlad’s Uzbekistan glance, a Ukrainian soldier smirked, ‘Maybe he should learn to make plov first - it’s tougher than it looks.’
*Someone should tell Vlad, Uzbekistan’s history is full of turning empires into chapters in their textbooks.

true history says China owned that part of Russia which China also wants. Russia stole them when Russia annexed part of eastern Siberia aka the "Amur Annexation." The annexation of the southeastern corner of Siberia or Outer Manchuria by the Russian Empire between 158 to 1860 through unequal treaties aka "Treaty of Aigon" forced upon the Qing Dynasty which had the region which is formally called '"Haishenwei" or the "Bay of Sea Slugs" but now is modern-day Russia "Vladivostok" which now means the "city of eternal light" for whatever reason.

Thank you very much for telling us about it.
There is no coverage of this in the MainStream media (but I have been able to read about it in some of the side media, even if only superficially)
It is interesting that Uzbekistan wants to fight the battle (against Russia) over culture and the high level of interpretation in the media ...
Because right now in Poland, after the opposition's election victory, a battle is also being waged for the (state) media, which the PIS(S) party used to regard as its personal property and propaganda organ and money machine (at the expense of all taxpayers, of course).
Where there used to be the Cold War with one front, today (in the world, in the individual countries) there are many small cold-front trenches. Where each side demonizes the other and refuses to cooperate, even for the common good.
I sincerely hope that Russia will not support "Russophile separatists" in Uzbekistan in order to bring its war with the rest of the world to Uzbekistan as well
