This part makes this recitation kind of odd. Ajam for this part of all parts, even from Sheikh is odd. I mean, the meaning here and Ajam are like inversely proportional...

I was like that when I first heard Ajam from Sheikh too, but it died down a few months later. Now I get excited when it's just any of Sheikh's recitations 😂
Actually I'm worried. He's not used the Ajam he uses in the middle of Bayati except once for a very short time. Some of his styles have been forgotten and not repeated by him along the years. I don't want it to happen with this style as well...

For me it goes like this:
Bayati - when I listen to it, I feel Sheikh. His vibrations and special touches.
So I just name it Maqam Yasser.
Saba'- like you say, it's a goosebumps guarantee.
So I'll call it Maqam Goosebumps
Kurd - A tranquil one
I'll call it Maqam Soft.
(Though Sheikh is more on the powerful side, I think it suits)
Hijaz - gives you Chills and reminds you of the bitter reality of the world
I'll call it Maqam Chillie.
Ajam - I'd go with the Maqam Chocolate. Or Maqam Ice Cream (he meltsy heart each time I listen to his Ajam)
Rast - I remember Sheikh Sudais and Sheikh Shuraim.
So I'll call it the Maqam of the Twins.
Maqam Sika - the Monotone and sudden rise in pitch is eerily thrilling.
I'll call it Maqam Thriller.
Maqam Nahawand - soothes your nerves and is absolutely powerful. And is damn intense.
I'll call it Maqam Ironman.
Lami - The other maqam that melts me due to the depth of emotion it seems to hold.
I'll call it Maqam Malt.
Iraqi - A combination of scares, eeriness, sadness and goosebumps.
I'll call it Maqam Qiyamah.
(I don't know, just seems to suit)
@@A.A_0407 as they say ur a master of nicknames all of them make sense but maqam saba shouldn't maqam saba be maqma thriller since that's how its used to thrill the sudden rais in pitch and outburst of emotion(its my favorite)
