    in this video, I talk about the most common issues with the chevy avalanche. some are from my personal experience and others are from what people experience. the chevy avalanche are great trucks but every great truck has their own problems! we talk about the gauge cluster, parking brakes, service 4x4 light as well as the intake manifold gasket and the issues that these can cause.

    I looove my 04 z71. I bought it brand new and I have about 215k. I say 'about' because my cluster was out for about a year before I had it repaired. I have had all of the issues you mentioned here as well as the fuel tank evap canister issue. All in all I love my truck and will never get rid of her. Thanks for the great videos.

    Oil consumption is a big problem with most of them. What i found is they changed the pcv valve design on the driver side valve cover that would let oil leak pass through the pcv into the intake causing blue smoke out the exhaust. Dorman makes a redesigned valve cover that fixes the problem; changed mine and no smoke what so ever. Other than that and the bad grounds, everything else you have already touched base with that are easy to fix!!!

      hell yeah man, how could I have forgotten to mention the oil consumption lol... thanks for bringing that up! I did replace mine as well with the doorman part.

    Got a good one for you was stopping at a red light came to a complete stop and the left side of my Avalanched dropped. Lower ball joint let go. Was a good thing I wasn’t driving it when it went.. love mechanics that don’t tell you when they suspect a problem. It’s ath garage to be fixed.

    Another very common issue causing coolant loss on the Avalanche and many other GM vehicles is heater hose connector failure. In their infinite wisdom, GM saw it fit to use a cheap plastic part to speed assembly on the line, compromising quality and reliability while doing so. Bean counter decisions are destroying our vehicles, sadly. Another thing. Those heater hose connectors can be removed and thrown out. Not required. Simply connect the heater hose to the core. Done.

      Thanks for sharing! that's a great point you brought up. I will never understand why such major components will be substituted for plastic... guess its their way of saving money while costing the consumer an expense!

    My Avy leaks washer fluid, how do I find where the leak is?😫

    • @Kingcustomz
      @Kingcustomz  Před 2 lety +2

      It leaks most likely the container is cracked, get a replacement container. Here is a trick. Fill it up slowly, at what point does the container start leaking
