Kuzan: Putting on a sleeping mask to not see unjustice.
Fujitora: "Wait, that was an option?"
Sengoku is probably the best positioned to ârunâ sword, even tho he probably didnât found it. He has experience in managing double agents in Rossinante, wouldnât put infiltrating blackbeards crew past him.
Ok
Yeah, Sengoku is the first person we see managing a pirate double agent (Rocinante). I'm surprised Liam didn't mention him as a possible leader of SWORD, especially since he picked Kuzan as his replacement and could have been handling Drake pre-timeskip (unlike Fujitora).
I think Sengoku created SWORD with Rosinante being part of it or in some earlier iteration of it. And when Sengoku wanted to resign following the war, he planned to give the reigns to SWORD over to Kuzan. But the Elders wanted Sakazuki to be fleet admiral, and that threw a wrench in the plan. So Kuzan attempts to fight Sakazuki, loses, and then "resigns" from the marines but in reality was transitioning to an undercover SWORD role. Which would mean Sengoku is most likely still in charge of SWORD and his relaxed semi-retired attitude is to disguise that.
Yep i would say Sengoku or Garp but Garp is not fit for that role
What is SWORD?
Law as a member of SWORD would be pretty nice ngl. he doesn't seem to be the kind to care about large treasures or being pirate king, but as a member of SWORD he could be looking to pay back Rosinante and maybe even lead a life Rosinante would be proud to see him lead
Randy troy
even if he is a SWORD or not but judging by the person who is valuable to him is a Marine, no wonder Law still has sympathy for some Marines for example Smoker, even though he is hot-headed but Smoker can also be invited to cooperate with Law such as fighting Vergo and even talking about Law's plans . Smoker also didn't open his mouth about where Law and Luffy were going when Doflamingo came and asked where Law and Luffy were going.
I have a theory that Sengoku is the leader or at least affiliated with sword for many reason already stated in other comments AND that he 'recruited' Law on Dressrosa. considering that the two talked about the OG marine spy Rosinante.
@@werdnet yes, i thought so.
Hm well he already payed him back by defeating doflamingo

The peek into knowing bepo is the key to law escaping or winning is INSANE
The only issue I have about Kuzan being the leader of Sword is the same issue I had about Drake being the leader of Sword: Logistics. Itâs very difficult (read: nearly impossible) to command the entire organization and issue orders when you, yourself, are on an infiltration mission.
Almost like they need a supervisor or fleet admiral or something
@@boogie1434 Like a certain semi-retired vice admiral who hates both Sakazuki (for murdering his adoptive grandson) and the Celestial dragons, yet is still in the marines (for some reason) and trained Helmeppo and Koby who both just happen to be in sword? Hmm, I wonder who that could be....
I feel like garp being the leader of sword or at least the founder of it should be explored more. Just seems like a natural progression for his character considering his past experiences with the injustices of the world government and friendships with pirates. great video btw
Randy troy
Idk, garp is kind of old I feel like the endgame is more about the new generation and nit the old one.
â@@amadoucisse8140 idk garp like donuts i feel like coffie is better than water.... you realised we are not talking about endgame right?
Thereâs no way garp is the leader or founder ⊠đ
Feel like sword was a faro idea that he and sengoku started. A part of the marines that could gather info etc without being under the eye of the WG. With sengoku as fleet commander let harp run it and checked in with certain people like Roselinte (canât spell) but when he stepped down and Akaniu stepped up they went more deep undercover as akaniu wouldntside with their ideals.

Honestly, I don't see why either Kuzan or Smoker's SWORD membership means the other can't be a member. They're a secret organization within the Marines that opposes the Marines. I have no problem imagining that not every member knows who every other member is, because If one member is uncovered, then them knowing who every other member is would compromise the entire organization all at once. The leader would surely know the identity of every member, but the people below him would likely have very little info on the rest of the organization due to the necessity that comes from being a secret organization that seeks to sabotage the government from within it's ranks. I swear though, it would be hilarious to me if the leader ends up being Kizaru, and that is a very real possibility given just how little we actually know about him. It would be interesting to see more about him, because right now, I think all we know about him is that he's Sentomaru's uncle and he seems like a bit of an idiot that times. But that second part could easily just be him putting on an act, because there's so little info about him, and his personality feels like it clashes with his job even more than Kuzan did when he was Aokiji. I'm just saying he weird and quite possibly the Admiral we know the least about despite being the second one properly introduced to the story.
Yes. It could even be a Barroque Works situation, in which the members recieve orders from a superior figure, but they may not even know who the leader is. Sword doesn't need that much communication between members to work out.
The only dent to this theory is the fact that Coby and Drake seemed to have a lot of communication when their missions didn't seem to overlap that much.
thank you gave me hope lol i want all the marines that i like to be a part of sword lol and would be upset if only one of them were a part of sword
all i gotta say is Kuzan went after pudding instead of robin.
clandestine cell structure
@@XXXTentaclez letâs be honest aokiji and van wouldnât be able to solo the strawhats either way robin never getting captured again
I think Garp is Sword Leader. Makes much more sense that someone can coordinate who is not in secret mission
itâs interesting because we actually havenât heard anything about Garp latelyâŠ
I think the fact that every member of sword or possible members has some affiliation with Garp is too much of a coincidence to overlook. A lot more will happen with Garp and dragon as oda said the series would be about one of them if Luffy didn't exist
Blackbeard 100% needs Kuzan in order to succeed, as he is the only character we've seen capable of circumventing his entire crew's whole ocean weakness with a single devil fruit.
I suspect BB is very well aware of Kuzan's suspicious motives, but let him in anyway because
1. He'll prove himself useful anyway to keep up his cover
2. Reckless trust in destiny
3. As a "they won't be able to stop me even with knowing my every move" power move
The threat of Kuzan as a part of BB's crew is more valuable to push plans than Kuzan actually helping at all. As long as Kuzan defects late; at a good time, it's likely a massive benefit to BB overall. Especially considering that BB can just keep Kuzan in the dark for many things. If Luffy thought Kuzan would protect BB, even Luffy would -think twice- get scolded by Nami and at least be stalled.
I think Blackbeard looked at it as he canât fully trust Kuzan but he needs his raw power in order to stay on top not that BB canât handle shit himself but with the raw power of Kuzanâs devil fruit it would be stupid not to let him join
surcomventing? are you serious? LOL did you at least make an effort to look up the word âcircumventingâ đđđ
@@sostreight surcomventing sounds like some investment company lol
I'm loving this arc already. I trust oda to tell a phenomenal story.
"Beppo is the only hope of law actually winning this fight..
So he's definitely not winning but" I almost spat out my food
I think Garp founded it, Kuzan took over sometime after Ohara, but now Fujitora is the leader of SWORD, at least while Kuzan is with Blackbeard.
This all makes me wonder what the hell happened to Moria? Maybe he joined Blackbeard and is just a subordinate, not a Titanic Captain. Or he refused and got killed which seems highly unlikely.
Moria is weak, he Def took an L
highly unlikeable not unlikely
They probably took his fruit Power.
He is def get kil led and his df bein taken awa y. I wonder where Perona is? Is she already meet Moria? I hope not, if she hed meet him in Bb island idk what will happen to her.
Love how you say that Beppo is the only hope of winning and directly afterwards says that he is definitely not winning đ
Fighting is also super effective against Dark. So Beppo > Blackbeard
In Oda we trust.. đđœ
At exactly 4:01 Liam says penguin the same way as Benedict cumberbatch đ€Łđ€Ł LOVE IT đ€Łđ€Ł
3:14 wait that was such a genius pun, you can't just slip it up so casually
The "burning justice" part is fascinating to me because fire is the last thing you think of from an ice man. Almost wonder if there's more to that.
Similar to Sengoku's ironic "angry buddha"?
Totally agree. Sakazuki being head of Sword feels super unlikely. Extremely super unlikely. I concur
When Sword enacts their plan into action it's gonna be so freaking awesome
In the interview with Aoyama, Oda initially says that he isn't sure how many years it will take to complete the series. But, in the following statement, the author confirms that his goal is to end One Piece in around three years. Also, the mangaka already planned the fitting ending to Luffy's journey.
The ending of One Piece was set when Oda started the series long long time ago
Yea I'm honestly not buying the ending in 3 years thing. Hell the my hero author originally said the series would end by this year and there's no way in hell that's happening
@@supremeturtle1186 Oda has been notoriously bad when setting deadlines.
Hell, the series was supposed to last 5 years when he started.
Most mangaka never hit the mark when they say they are ending within a timeframe. Art is hard to quantify. Look at MHA.
He said 12 years ago we were half way done when ace died and the marienford war happen. He said 5 years ago that once wano is done he is 70% complete with one piece
So no. We have at least a good 6 to 7 years left
Its funny how Kuzan had the âBurning Justiceâ and Sakazukis justice is cold and cruel
Sengoku is the most likely option, even if he doesn't lead it anymore. It's fair to assume he would be one of if not the only person that knew Drake was an undercover marine while Sengoku was fleet admiral
âKuzan was left with just-iceâ!!! đđŒđđŒđđŒđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
My personal choice for the leader/-s was always sengoku and or garp. Seemed like an obvious choice to me. I mean, sengoku knows the true history and garp hates the world nobles so much he refused becoming an admiral. They are also in the perfect position to recruit others without drawing too much attention to themselves.
2000: I can't wait to see shanks in action
2023: I can't wait to see shanks in action
Law being a member of sword would make 1 event make sense. If I recall, we never got an explanation as to why law came to marineford. There was absolutely nothing going on there that could be of interest to him. It seems he showed up to only retrieve luffy, which if it wasn't connected to sword, would be a massive coincidence. Keep in mind I'm literally thinking of this now, but garp is probably the leader if law was a member. I'd imagine garp planned for law to use "room" to save ace when he gave the word
This is an interesting thought, I had never thought about why Law was at marineford to begin with. I like the idea of this
I always saw law being in marineford as a show of the will of d doing stuff without thinking he even said he didnt think about it just did it.
@@abysstruthpoet though if you have a cover, you'd need to explain your actions. Not saying the will of d doesn't have anything to do with it
I kinda of like the idea the Saul could still be alive. Firstly, heâs one of only ten characters to hold the initial D (Luffy, Dragon, Garp, Roger, Ace, Rouge, Blackbeard, Rocks, Law, and Saul himself). Second, we never actually see him die. Sure, we see him get frozen over by Aokiji, but the first time we meet Aokiji we see both Luffy and Robin get frozen over entirely by him and theyâre both alive and well. To top it all off, we also know the name of the move Aokiji used to âkillâ Saul: Ice Time Capsule. So I believe Jaguar D. Saul may very well have been âkilledâ by Aokiji in order to protect him from the other marines and potentially given him a chance to escape Ohara or something, so maybe we will see him again.
Nice
Why are we assuming Sword is a newly-made faction, or that whoever is in charge of it must be someone we've already met? It's not at all crazy to assume Oda is going to introduce new characters connected to this group. He already has, just a few chapters ago.
But given Rosinante's history as a pirate-turned-Marine-turned-undercover-pirate, I think it's more likely that Sword has been around for at least a generation already. And it would be a pretty nice touch if Law were involved with it after all.
With all of the recent events that have happened in one piece I kind of was under the impression that there would be a lot more content coming from creators but you're the only one really that I've had come up in my notifications much lately. Thank you thank you thank you for that much needed one piece content! Lol
Been years since I started watching your videos, never have I ever been disappointment with your perfect sense of humor
The justice to just ice joke was good
If sword works independent of the main branch marines... then yes, I can definitely see Aokiji as being the leader.
Because I cannot see him working under sakasuki willingly.
I personally imagine Kizaru just said "Nah you two can have it" and bowed out. He doesn't seem like the type who wants to be fleet admiral
I would like that aokiji actually did win in punk hazard and is the real fleet admiral. This would explain how koby managed to remain in the marine and Aka inu's behavior.
Iâve always felt Aokiji did win had Sakazuki on the ground, then Lava guy did Lava thing and took off Ice manâs leg.
ehhh youâre reachinh
Spot on about O'Hara. That would make a ton of sense if that was the turning point for Kuzan. Well said! Finding out that the justice-focused organization one is a part of, is willing to use genocide to achieve their goals, must be pretty jarring I would think. I'm still upset that Kuzan killed Jaguar D Saul. I feel he could have tried to let him escape.. I guess a giant might have trouble escaping the island inconspicuously tho but still.. the part where Robin is rowing away by herself and doing the "derishishishi," is one of the saddest parts I feel. Have a heart Aokiji! Come on dude. Couldn't be cool and let Saul go? Cold as ice smh
Hehehe
....but he didn't kill Saul
As a Kuzan enjoyer who recently cosplayed as him, I was pleased with this watch
11:46 - I love the hat on Arlong saying "Ask me about my dungeon"
it's possible that kuzan was sent off/went off on his mission to join the Blackbeard pirates before smoker was recruited, even a "we don't speak of those out on mission until the end of that mission" kinda thing
I really believe the leader of Sword is Garp's 2nd in command, Bogard. He's was adamant and supportive of Garp training Coby and Helmeppo.
Thank you for continuing to make fire content a lot of anime reviews or Theories are just putting out bs and repetitive information but every time i see your videos itâs genuine and articulate keep up the good work sir

Hey dude - random thought since I'm in the Fishman Arc, but you should totally do an analysis on how Hordy Jones and Luffy are pretty much the same character, but one went dark and then other one chose the good pirate life. Love your vids
This justice/ just ice line got me bad đ
Dragon's secret and his agents are gonna insane .. I never expected that kuzan , vegapunk are going to be in contact with Dragon đ„âš
Mr. Liam , your dog is like luffy , He does not care what happens , he simply has set sail ... WONDERFUL.
Great call about Koby. I would love to see that moment too. Seeing Koby and Kuzan discuss his choice to join BB Pirates could be quite illuminating I feel. It could at least begin to answer some important questions for us
Desperately need a scene with Law, Koby, and Kuzan all in the same room.
Garp is still the leader in my mind, his connections to Kuzan and hatred for the government are too deep.
Law gave 100 pirate hearts to the government to become a warlord. Impel Down escapees are seen frozen within the walls of Punk Hazard-- the very same island Law made his base of operations. The very same island Kuzan was conveniently on his way to visit. IMO Law and Kuzan worked together to get the hearts and deal with the bodies. And I further believe the event that landed them said hearts was the Rocky Port Incident.
Smoker and Kuzan could BOTH be in sword if for some reason, not all sword members know each other's identities. Some kind of deep undercover situation could benefit from that.
"Kuzan was left with Just Ice." This should not be as funny as it is. I missed the rest of the video because I was laughing so hard. Had to watch again.
Been waiting a long time for this video. Iâve always thought it was Kuzan or garp that ran sword
That just-ice justice pun was amazing and I canât let that go
"justice" to "just ice" .... GENIUS! đđđŸ
I always liked the idea that Garp was the leader of SWORD
So I've watched this video twice now, and I could still see Garp being the one to start the organization before he retired and then leaving Kuzan or Fujitora in control.

I like your Justice bar. Am watching all the way from West Africa Ghana. I must I like your videos.
I definitely would go garp is the leader, I think sword was founded back right after rogars execution. He openly hates the celestial dragons and was once higher rank at the time then aokiji and akainu. I can't remember where I heard it that aokiji joined because garp saved him. Then in a cover story akainu had a small sword tattoo. Finally Colby was taught by garp directly which could be how Colby joined sword so easily.
3:16 this is the first joke from this channel to make my stomach hurt congratulations
Could we get best haki users, ranked by the fans. Just like you did with devil fruits. It does take a lot of effort, but is very entertaining
I've been trying to make a just ice pun ever since the original Justice League animated series. This man knows how to make his puns flow!! đđđ
That âjust iceâ line was cold asf đ„¶
In my opinion Kuzan is connected with dragon after he left the navy. That could be the reason why the hq of the revelutionary was abandon when the bb pirates raided it. I doubt that Kuzan could take it anymore and he wouldn't accept a navy where Sakazuki is Fleet Admiral. This was actually his only ambition to be Fleet Admiral.
I would love for Fujitora to be the head of Sword. That would be awesome. I'm afraid I'm not sure if that's the case tho.. Is Garp too crazy of an idea? Or what if Sword is affiliated w Revolutionary Army and Dragon? I think that would be cool too. I like the idea that it's Kuzan too. For me, the leader of Sword going undercover on such a dangerous assignment, feels very risky. When I consider the logistics of having leader infiltrate BB Pirates, I wonder if that's a great idea, or even how likely it is..? I'm probably wrong, but I had hoped for it to be someone above Fujitora and Kuzan, but it's prob just wishful thinking on my part. Awesome super fun vid as always
I mean, another possibility: Fujitora and Kuzan are "Co-heads," which is to say they both lead. Each offers unique experiences, and both are in unique situations to go about gathering information. Fujitora is the "acting head," giving out missions and such, while Kuzan pursues the greater goal of keeping a tag on Blackbeard.
Oh, and remember the time Kuzan said that he owed Garp a favor? I believe that Garp saved Kuzan and recruited him to the marines.
Kuzan being sleepy on duty because he's moonlighting as vigilante would be a perfect fit for One Piece. The silliest things becoming gravely serious is Oda at his best.
Gave the video a like just for the "just ice" pun

Justice = Just + ice
His df power, ice.
Multilevel pun. Good one, sir.
I'm curious on why GLR doesn't think that Garp could be the leader of sword. Fujitora just joined sword and Kuzan is a Garp fanboy which would make it weird if Garp was under him in Sword. And he kinda has to be story wise since Koby is in sword and we don't have any other connections on how he would get there.
My theory is that Smoker is part of sword, and so is Kuzan, but due to who he's infiltrating, he's a massively secret member that only the leader knows
honestly if there a key chain store with this channel art only i would buy it â€
I love the analogy that Kazan is the âicebergâ that will help sink Blackbeardâs âTitanicâ
A parallel i noticed is how blackbeard recruited a former admiral and luffy recruiting a former warlord as there last members to make them emperor
Crazy theory: dragon used to be a marine, and founded sword before leaving. That would be when him and vegapunk got to know each other as well, and planned to secretly work against the government from the inside and from the outside as revolutionaries
I could never see it as fugitora as his hastings of vegapunk resulted in a bunch of clone children to lose /lock away their humanity
A lil bit of benedict cumberbatch came out when talking about Camel huh lol
