Redfish all around this structure

- First good trip of 2023 after waiting out crazy weather swings and winds down in South Texas. This wooden pole in the water is a favorite hangout for some big fish!
I am a kayak fisherman using mostly if not all, artificial lures, popping corks, berkley gulp on a light inshore rod and reel setup with 10lb Daiwa J or Berkely Power Pro braided fishing line. My rods of choice are Cajun Custom and Falcon HD rods. I use Daiwa a Regal 2500, Pflueger President 30 and various Penn Reels. Fishing from a Hobie Outback powered by my patas and a Torqeedo 403.
You'll most likely find me Kayak Fishing in Corpus Christi, Aransas Pass, Ingleside, Portland, Mustang Island Rockport, Wilsons Cut, Fish Pass, Kates Hole, Wolfview Park and other saltwater fisheries in South Texas
I've been an avid Kayak Angler since June of 2022 and am constantly soaking up fishing knowledge to further my experience on the water going after redfish, speckled trout, flounder, sheepshead and whatever else may come my way! Thank you chris. I have been using 10lb for the better part of a year now. However, I just went up to 15lb (literally spooled my reels up last night with it) due to a few break offs recently. I will keep a couple of reels on standby with 10# for when I am sight casting with tiny baits to make sure I can cast a bit further with accuracy. For the most part, I am making far casts even when throwing into a Group or solo redfish so the 15# will provide a bit more “insurance” if I am fishing around solid structure.
