As a Ute fan, massive props to BYU this year. They've proven last year wasn't a fluke. Sitake is a great coach and has added so much more physicality and resilience to the team. Allgeier is a stud of a player and Hall will do special things in the future. Congrats on the excellent season and wish you the best of luck in your bowl game!

sitake isn't a great coach. he's a good coach that is going to look much worse once he's competing in the BIG 12 in 2 years. BYU will have to make some coaching upgrades to big a top tier big 12 team.

sitake is great for BYU. but, you get what you pay for. sitake is clearly one of the better NCAA football coaches. I'm glad he is at BYU. he is a very good fit. the university should be very satisfied with what sitake has done. but things will change once BYU enters the BIG 12. I hope sitake continues to thrive. but only time will tell. part of his success will be determined by if BYU will give sitake the BUDGET he needs to compete in a power 5 conference going 5-0 against the weak PAC 12 is a start. but nothing more.
Never should have been this close but you gotta hand it USC, they showed up. They have one of the most talented rosters in CFB and its ridiculous that they have underperformed to this degree. They played up to that talent level in this game.

What a season for the state. my Utes won their division, shot at the Pac12 title and the rose bowl. The Utah State Aggies won their division. Both have their conf. championship game next week. Big Congrats to BYU on their season and cfp rank (I'm not sure what game comes next for the cougs since they're independent) a new years six bowl game I assume? Regardless what incredible performances this season Cougs. The big 3 Utah schools have all showed up and performed. The whole cfb state of Utah is happy. It's wild.

By who? he is slow and only runs for yardage against weak teams. 33 yds against BAYLOR for 2.2 yds avg, 73 against BOISE for 3.6 avg, and 69 yds vs ASU for 3.3 avg. Allgeir wouldn't start at ASU, USC, UCLA, OREGON, UTAH or GEORGIA SOUTHERN.

Yet again BYU plays to the level of their opponent. And it almost cost them this week.
There's a lot more to a team than record. FPI had us at 56% chance of winning before the game, so it was always gonna be close. Not to mention the injuries we've had
BYU justed need to pull hall at half and replace him with romney. they would have easily won. hall was under pressure all night and was making poor passing decisions.

@@louieo.blevinsmusic4197 Oh sorry, yes you are correct - the honor code is a requirement regardless of religious belief if you want to attend BYU. My point was that you do not need to be a member, let alone serve a mission for 2 years as you had stated.
And I'd really suggest doing more research into religion. Certainly bad things have been done in the name of religion, but really that can be said of almost anything. Should I hate government because of the bad things that have been done in the name of governments? Should I hate science because of the awful things that have been done in the name of science? Seems quite irrational to me. At the very least I'd suggest being respectful of people and their different belief systems and avoid calling them "laughable".
In my study of religion I have found that most teach their followers to love your neighbor, seek peace, take care of the poor and needy, etc. Does that mean people always do this? No, of course not. Does it mean that religious leaders are perfect and don't make mistakes like the priesthood ban that you are referring to? No, of course not. But countless people find purpose and strive to be more loving, more kind, and more caring because of their religious beliefs.

#13 bYu lost to Birmingham St in the Shreveport Bowl @ Shreveport Fairgrounds (att 2,642) on Dec 18th 2021. bYu has never played in a January 1 bowl game. bYu 16-23 (.423) all time bowl record. UTAH 17-7 bowl record. bYu plays Dixie St in 2022. Dixie was a JUCO for years, and has an 8,000 seat stadium.
Utah drops down to FCS and joins the Big Sky after the Pac-12 disappears when USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Cal and Stanford leave for the Big Ten.

I don’t always agree with the roughing calls either. But high hits on the QB like that have been called consistently all year.

I blame the BYU coaching staff for this game even being close. should have pulled hall at halftime and replaced him with romney. hall was making a lot of dangerous passes and it almost cost them the game. romney may not have the athleticism of hall. but he is a much smarter quarterback than hall. and, he can run the ball very well for a college QB. I think the offensive play calling for BYU wasn't the best.......much like the boise st game. poor offensive coaching cost BYU the boise st. game. and it almost cost BYU this game. BYU has 58th Strength of schedule ( GEORGIA NORTHERN, IDAHO ST) and all BIG 12 schools have a stronger schedule. Only TCU at 43 near BYU. They lost to unranked BOISE ST. BYU has always scheduled patsies to have a winning record, yet still have a losing record against ranked teams since 2000. Warren Jeffs is a BYU football donor. BYU Tv will be deal breaker for BYU to not be allowed entrance to BIG 12.

Today's ref was a joke. But biggest idiots were our coaching staff. Never challenge d anything. As usual, our players were as dumb as hell. The last play, you have to pass the mark to get 1st down. Our receivers keep dropping and our D could not tackle. Our D and O coordinators were smoking something. Donte, Donte, Donte....now you know why you will never be a HC.
USC played great for the number of missing players and Depth chart they had. USC took the momentum from BYU scoring 4 times in a row and had the lead. BYU made two smart calls on USCs final drive on Defense and it was enough . USC has no reason to go to a bowl this year so the lost is meaningless . Dart with a proper coach will be a stand out QB and USC better pay for one or Dart will use the portal

@@braden387 And that's the problem. Pac 12 refs are notoriously the worst among the FBS conferences. Half the Pac 12 teams (Arizona, ASU, Oregon, Oregon St, USC, UCLA) are in the bottom third (80th or worse) in FBS division for penalty yards per game because conference officials are overzealous and throw flags at any and everything.. A team of part-time high school refs would be better than the majority of Pac 12 crews and every fan of a Pac 12 team will tell you that.
