What are the winds like there? If I wanted to make structure on the roof which would provide shade to sit under as well supporting solar panels would that be viable or would it be threatend by winds?

Absolutely not. A place like this is for someone to live peacefully and happily on. Far too many “listed” buildings that are unseen and rotting away.

And except for the skeleton ghost with no head it's very homey, very warm and welcoming.

you can swim between them in some places if it's still enough
