Yup, you can. I have a personal blueprint book that I'm working on with city blocks, with different stages of the game inside said blueprint book, so I have a early, mid and late-game designs, from "stone and nothing else" all the way to "refined concrete and concrete". Great for organizing everything.

It's incredibly helpful. When you scroll through the topmost book it goes through all the blueprints, but you can pull out a specific book to scroll through it alone.
I love it for my rail blueprints.
When you have a book in the global blueprint book, you can still put it on your quickbar!
When you're done with a book or BP, use Q to remove it from your hand. That will make sure it returns to where it came from. Don't put in your inventory by mistake.

I have to admit, I'd never considered that idea. I always just had the one deconstruction plan that I kept on my hotbar and would reconfigure and needed.
You can even put that book, with deconstruction planners, INSIDE another book!

S tier tip: Enable blueprint library saving to steam cloud in settings to never lose the library....
That sounds like a great tip. How do you do it?
You can pin stuff from the library to the hotbar but that's a quick way to accidentally delete a whole book. Instead take a blueprint from the library, make a copy of it, go to the top of that window and switch to Game Library, there you will find a blueprint library exclusive to that save! Now you have a clean inventory and if you delete something you just have to import it from the master library again.
I always do that with a trees/rocks deconstruction planer so it doesn't take up space in my inventory
Always put personal blueprints on game library, like silly deconstruction or anything specific to the current map don't keep them in inventory
put shared books and blueprints on "my blueprints" tab, since it's shared with all other saves and synced with cloud saved
Cloud saves can fuck your blueprint badly even more than save files themselves, i recommend keeping them on game library
Pro tip: keep your modded games blueprints on the save file and not on shared book, if you remove the mods the blueprints settings will change, building may remain but it will fuck Up things like inserter stack sizes and dropping tile (ks2)
You can always duplicate your books to share to with other saves
You can put them and books on hotbar for quick acess

i've never had trouble with blueprint books going missing, so I can't relate, but you still taught me that a global blueprint book is a thing, amazing video as always! keep it up and you'll definitely gonna get 10 mil, you're the reason why many people still play Factorio!

Been playing since 0.15, lost so many blueprint libraries I hardly save them ingame anymore 😂 All the ones I want to keep long term I keep in a google docs spreadsheet with the import string

Meh, my problem with the blueprint library is that every time I want to take a book that I saved it remove it from the library, so if I forget to put it back or make a duplicate of it that book will be pretty much gone unless I remember in which game I took it and where I put it
Speaking of making blueprints, how do you enter the mode he is in for the first couple frames of the video? I see youtubers use it all the time, but I have no idea how to do it myself. I want to plan/test some trains stuff without having to actually build everything in the world I might use it in.
i would be so bad to lose my blueprints. so much work to get them all back Xd
I had this bug once. I took a book out of the library to use it, and then reloaded the game. It was gone from both the save, as it was from before I took the book, and the library, because I did take the book. How can I avoid that in the future? IMO the books should never leave the library unless explicitly destroyed, but that is not the case.
