From a small market town in the North of England, it was difficult to attract interest from London based recording companies. Beggars Banquet Records got there first and with a distribution deal from WEA:

    What the press said:
"On the poppier side of power-pop, with echoey vocals. A bit out of step with the times, unless there was a chill teeny-bop movement I'm not aware of. The sort of group one wishes continued and developed their sound."
"Good breezy new wave power pop. Catchy sixties style music with witty lyrics".
"I’m a huge fan of the music you guys put out, top notch, full of hooks and super catchy. Great work."
