    Let's face it short barrels are what we're used to, long ones just get in the way. Awesome set up,come to the light and shoot better doing it.

    I had a choice between this and a tikka t3x hunter the short barrel swayed me to the tikka but now i think i may have to get one of these as well.

    FYI, this is a $2000 optic on a $700 gat.

      @munghini Před 3 lety +10

      well, no one would normally recommend the opposite as optics are not where you want to get cheap.

      I'm looking at putting a Vortex Razor Gen 3 1-10 on it, as well as a Amtac suppressor, the shorter barrel is perfect for deer where I live as well as hogs, and will work in the heavily forested Appalachians where I'll be spended much time as well - for deer, bear and if I draw a tag - an elk. Its a solid foundation rifle for a complete fast acquisition system

      It’s better it have a more pricey scope than rifle you want your scope to last and hold zero

    Is this a private range location? I know the mountains in the background but have not heard of a range such as this in the area.

    I don't think the 6.5 can afford to loose velocity because of a short barrel,it's borderline already

    Cheers for the vid. What factory ammo would you use through this with 18” barrel? Would a bullet doing only 2500 fps still do the job out to 500 for hunting? Cheers.

      I own one of these rifles . Everything I've read about it claims almost total interchangeability with Remington 700 stocks , magazines , triggers , and scope bases . As for clips , the proper term is magazines . I'm looking into replacing the bottom metal of my Bergara with a detachable magazine system made for Remington 700 rifles . Every manufacturer claims interchangeability between the two rifles with the possibility of of a little inletting and fitting by a qualified gunsmith .

      @westcoastplinkin6559 Před 2 lety +1

      @@victorwaddell6530 Well from what i've read, the Bergara is basically a Remington 700 so everything should fit. I am very interested in getting one as well. But I do want some detachable magazines.

    GREAT VIDEO, There is also an an OMNI Brake version of this rifle, are you familiar with it?

    • @lennartschuster7083
      @lennartschuster7083 Před 3 lety +3

      Hi! The version with the brake coming with it is the wilderness model. It‘s got a hand painted camo stock and a cerakote finish on the barrel as well. Other than that it‘s almost the same rifle. Sadly the wilderness ridge is hard to get over here in Germany. Take care!
