The promise of God is real . The promise is reality. The promise is fulfillment James Dobson got it right. Following our path is not simple or without cost. We do what God wants regardless of the cost. Our path is set. The cost is there but suffferage is our duty. Ordained by God but never more than we can handle. Hold on to the promise. Trust in the lord no matter what. As a believer, I will accept tbe cost regardless . I am facing cancer reocurrence. Told my wife I think my expiration date is at hand. She had faith and supports me uncondtionally. Even if I chose not to take treatment. I do not fear death. I will serve until my final breath.

Thanks Pastor Skip for great teaching. As you mentioned, God is always in His Word and in the depths of depression we can always draw strength, comfort, and encouragement from it. God knows us better than we know ourselves and there's not an emotion or feeling we have that Jesus Himself did not also experience. Often it helps just to go off to a quiet place and listen for the "small still voice." How blessed we are to have Christ as the Solid Rock upon which we stand! And how tragic for the unbeliever whose only ground is sinking sand. Kill the human pride and listen to the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28: "Come unto Me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will you give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me. For I am meek and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your soul." Who else could speak words like those except God clothed in human flesh....

Beautiful articulation of how Elijah was full of faith, taking on 450 men one day and afraid of Jezebel the next. Because I was stumped!
1 Kings 19:3 When he saw.
His eyes were not on the lord but on what was in front of him. When you go from believing the promise to looking at what’s in front of you, there lies your problem. 💥 19:30
And then skip related it back to David and Goliath and said David SAW a bigger GOD than his problem and I about fell out of my chair. Because that’s exactly what Elijah needed to do, but like you said pastor Elijah was a man of God but still just a man at best! 🫶🏽
Skip, Jesus was in the wilderness 40 days also, a period of testing, and certainly didn't have a lack of faith!
I also have experienced Depression and wanted to die, even though I accepted His gift of salvation and have followed Him in faith for many years. During those dark and painful times, the spirit was willing and the flesh was weak! While we can keep our eyes on Jesus and off the waves to walk on the water for the short term, we humans often must be still and know He is YHWH - do the survival float - during times of intense and chronic suffering. Even Jesus, in His humanity exclaimed, "How long am I to bear with you?!" (Mark 9:19) We do need to stop and rest, trusting that He will use times of distress and captivity for our good and His glory just as much as the seasons of strength and clarity!
I think that when Elisha received the call, he asked simply to be able to say goodbye and probably have a farewell dinner with family and neighbors. The young man Jesus spoke to wanted to _bury_ his father first, to put off following Jesus until later... when his parents had died and other responsibilities and priorities in his life were accomplished.

O Lord, Jesus, may You heal others in Hawaii in our time and also restore their families for good also. O Lord our God. In Jesus'name, i pray( James 5:14-15; Philippians 4:6-7) for others' healing and mourn with those who mourn too( Romans 12:15b). 2 Peter 2:1-22( False teachers and their destruction)
"2 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who brought them- bringing swift destruction on themselves.
2 Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disgrace.
3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell,
putting them into gloomy dungeon to be held for judgment.
5 If he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others;
6 if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly;
7 and if he rescue Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by filthly lives of lawless me

Purify yourself on the 3rd and 7th day

After Elijah mocked and slain the

It was the turmoil of
Mocking is a no no

He repented before God
Saying i am zealous for the house of the lord
But hurt because
Sin tears and crusifies one within
He repented as we all do after crusifng sin
It brought him to the cross
We see Gods mercy but we also see Gods Spirit that jas shown Himself to be the true living God of israel
Now one in Christ (no longer in the old name of many but in the name of One)
And destroyed the false prophets witnesses and false God
(Of course as we see this play put the evil only destroys its ownself as it is written
They will turn the sword on themselves)
Hense the evil did it to its self
God came to Him gentle
Showed Him it was in the spirit of whats to come
It shows a preview of the greater victory we have in christ
But
We humans like to SEE so

God likes to give us visual

of that time was deluged and destroyed( Do you remember Noah and His family member and how Noah was faithful to God at his time in Christ?)

are reserved for fire,
being kept for the day of judgement and destruction of ungodly men.
8 But do not forget( "do not forget" = remember too ) this one thing,

slow in keeping his promise,
as(like) some understand slowness.

Why teach the Old Testament we’re in the final days and you want to discuss kings!
We have been in the Final Days since Christ when Up to Heaven. But the "Final Days" are tight in With the Old Testament. These Teachings are for those who are Wanting to be Give themselves More to God. We are going to need these Teachings when we hit those Walls b/c our enemies. They are Coming to Shut Us Up and Shut our Works Down.

This guy has a very mocking and cynical/sarcastic tone with a whole lot of belittling and ridiculing. It's very constant and consistent every time he is teaching or preaching.
