Yes you read that title right - we're finally making over our scary office bathroom! You got a few sneak peeks of this space in previous episodes and it was NOT the vibe. But with a little help from our friends at Fiverr, we totally transformed this blank slate into the dark moody bathroom that we really need! Complete with dark botanical wallpaper, a DIY tambour feature, black ceilings and accents as well as a paint brush cleaning station, this bathroom makeover is so the move now. Okay this might literally be my FAVOURITE makeover from you guys. The wood, the wall paper, the dark walls OPULENCE (Although I would have taken it one step further and done gold rimmed mirrors but thats me).
But I gotta get real for a second here about that sponsor of yours because this is the second time in the last month a creative youtuber has had them sponsor a video.... Guys, Fiverr is literally a race to the bottom for creative industries.
Its the next step up from spec work. It undermines and undervalues every creative industry, and although it may be a good start for someone straight out of school or just curious about a creative job, it does nothing but damage the future of that industry that they are trying to get a start in. As a graphic designer I get to work with interior designers quite a bit and the amount of talent and knowledge that they bring to the table blows my mind. Its clear from the examples you guys got that "you get what you pay for" (or at least that's most peoples' defence for fiverr) but its the support and promotion of companies like this that just sucks to see.
Still love you guys though, and I totally understand if you took the sponsorship not knowing any of this but I hope it changes your mind next time they reach out (even you even see/read this comment)

I honestly did not think that you would be able to turn the creepy dungeon bathroom into something THIS gorgeous! It looks like a bathroom at like the coolest bar in town or something.
Seriously love that advice about leaning to the ~ dark side ~ for rooms that have no windows (or even limited natural lighting). The result is something that is moody, yet cozy, and is so effectively done because of that lack of lighting. You ladies have DELIVERED with each studio makeover and this is no exception. Also love that you sought the resources of other designers! Great way to support other creators.

I agree! Love everything else they did to this space. I think a rich blue/green would've made the times from the wallpaper POP. But maybe they already had the terracotta paint in the office, idk it just isn't a color that screams "moody" to me.

I would have 'just forgot' to do the tamber and have her do it the next day.
They each worked to a point day one, the next day Kelsey had another project scheduled but Becky could’ve worked on something else that day.
I work for a home builder and that project wasn’t dependent on the tamber being done before painting the accent wall. So her “irritation” was probably just played up for the camera to make it more interesting. 😄

ps ☣Biohazard 🚾Toilet "plume" sends aersolized faeces bacteria up to 15 ft. 🔬Study shows Covid-19 can be spread in same manner too.
🤓 Contaminated droplets do spew far & wide during every flush. This is dangerous enough during ordinary cold/flu season.
🚫Open lids.💲Investing in a soft close lid will also save your sanity too.
😉Some folks will be forgetful, lazy, &/or even plain rebellious about this simple courtesy.
🛠Another reason it's better for toilet to have containment to minimize spread of germs on paint brushes & all decorative elements in this space.
🤔Would prefer a surface on commode side that you can easily disinfect too, but that's just me. Some references for you...

The drying rack is perfect for the space and use. My favorite parts are the sconces and the wallpaper. The lighting is not harsh now!

This is AMAZING!! The only disappointment I have is why they didn’t include the making of the separation (in between the toilet and the counter) . That is,in my opinion,the most difficult thing to execute but It wasn’t in the video
They should have just made a whole tambor stall or at least a curtain. It's more practical for more than one person to be able to use the space, totally missing out on the functionality

And the space around the toilet is too little to even think about making some other kind of separation thing other than curtains (without having to completely discard the existing cabinet unit, I mean) 😅
@@giada1248 I think they use the bathroom as you would use any other shared/office bathroom: When someone is on the toilet they lock the door. Nobody comes in during that time.
Why would there even occur a situation where someone would be washing brushes while somebody else is on the toilet??
If there is a need to wash any brushes or be at the sinks you just wait until the person is finished with using the toilet, no need to be in the room at the same time. Shouldn't be a problem as long as no one is having a good long Animal Crossing session in there or something :D

I think a medium tone rich blue would have been best to echo the wallpaper the terra-cotta doesn’t do it for me for how luxe the rest of it feels
exactly my thoughts. terracotta takes away from the upscale and luxurious ambience. i was thinking about black but pulling a different colour from the wallpaper could have worked, too.
what makes the terreacotta wall even worse for me are those blue towels .. black ones would work much better, or maybe a very dark green
